Leave it to Nintendo fanboys to constantly find new ways to shower Nintendo with entirely undeserved praise for even the most bizarre battleship.

Also YongYea is a complete bag.

Yeah.
But I wonder if it's something that Nintendo has gotten better about.

For some reason I didn't see the other post!

Yongyea: Nintendo's Transparency on Metroid Prime 4's Development Reboot is a Breath of Fresh Air | ResetEra

this isn't a typical level to transparency from nintendo nor do i think it will be going forward.

nintendo announced MP4 in 2017 and it was on every fan's list war as shipping in 2019.  now i know list wars aren't an official thing but i think it is important to note that MP4 caters to nintendo's more core fans and this would have been a very conspicuous absence.  ..which would lead to rumors that almost certainly would have included the game being canceled or vapor-ware.  it wouldn't have been "press" but there would be a lot of negative discussion and anger about this title in particular.   the kind of negative discussion that never appeared around wii's vitality sensor which nintendo remained very closed about.  this is a one off exception only done to try and control the conversation before it turns toxic.

The game was first mentioned to Eurogamer in July 2015 with Miyamoto saying at the time that it was "very close to completion." Adding that "Pikmin teams are always working on the next one."

It's not like this happens all the time, oh wait it does  Dead Island 2 changed Devs and we got that confirmation as soon as it happened for example.

I saw someone legitimately say that Nintendo's way of handling this is way better than "Square Enix's handling of the whole Final Fantasy VII Remake debacle", even though Square Enix did the exact same thing, when they announced that they were pulling development for the game back in-house after not being satisfied with the work CyberConnect2 had done on it.

Only difference being that they didn't make a video and that we actually knew who was developing the game, a piece of information, which Nintendo in all its transparency chose to simply not share with people.
