dang feels so weird typing this, but I almost got hit by a car today!

I was walking home from work, literally 1 minute away from my workplace. There was a crosswalk and the driver was coming from my left...He had a stop sign and the only way he could go was left or right turn (Can't go straight). It was night and rainy but obviously there are lights on the road, it was near a big intersection...

Anyways, I noticed the guy coming but I hear his brakes going off with a squeal (it was an older pickup truck) and I noticed it slow down so I start to walk...I mean there's a stop sign so he has to stop...right?

Wrong. I suddenly hear this dudes engine roar and he just goes STRAIGHT through a stop sign! He was turning to the right side. He fudgy ran over my foot, scratched my kneecap and tore a small part of my jacket...

Luckily I wasn't very hurt, hell my foot doesn't even hurt. I guess because he was turning right, all the weight of the car was on the left side so when the wheel went over me it didn't have as much pressure, but I still definitely felt it go over me.

I have no idea if the fudge maker even saw me...He just kept going and didn't stop! I didn't notice the scratch on my kneecap until minutes later when it started to sting...I guess I was still in shock. If I had taken one more step I seriously think he would have literally ran right over me...Like I said it was a big pickup truck and there was no way I would have went over his hood...

Safe to say I'm fine, but fudge man I'm going to be extremely paranoid now when crossing the street even if there's a stop sign for the cars to stop...
