Yeah that initial reveal was insane. Maybe the best first trailer for a game ever, certainly the best I've seen

While that is true they are still majorly fudgy up.  There are no pros to be found in all the countries xbox is completely irrelevant in across Asia including Japan for example.  

Xbox one sells shame in this region and the scorpio will do even worse.  Holding off providing adequate supply until the scorpio launches in these regions is the most pointless thing ever.  

I think it's just a case of they didn't expect duvhhigh demand. And I think they decided to do very little advertising in the first place because they were confident they'd sell the pros they decided to produce with or without a big advertising push so didn't bother.
