As always on amazon Japan the Pro is selling out almost as soon as it's back in stock.  Sony currently selling about 6/7k a week in japan so that's basically the shipment.  Feels like they need 10k a week minimum. 

They should have been much braver with the pro.  Hopefully over the summer period when demand usually slows they can catch up and supply the pent up demand from this shortage.

Sales Gaf thought Japan would wouldn't care for the Pro.  How wrong they were.

Horizon is on fire! Just jumped up 3 places in the 2017 chart to 4th place. Also overtook a PSN card into 2nd for February

That is true. Though I think Horizon couldn't have asked for a better situation outside of getting a 90+ MC average. People were hyped before previews were published and then the hype intensified after they came out. After the embargo ended, it's sitting at a very respectable 88 average.

I'm still convinced they're waiting for closer to the Scorpio's release to fully promote the Pro. Imagine if they put out an advert saying 'The first console capable of Native 4K games' about a week or so before the Scorpio releases. That would make Microsoft's messaging very difficult.

We had initially glowing impressions from the preview event on the 30th of January, and then we had strong and positive impressions from people from GAF who got the game early who over time eulogised about it. The reviews dropped on the 20th to incredibly high scores and generally universal praise and if anyone has listened to recent podcasts on IGN, kinda funny, easy allies, DLC etc they will here more people gushing about this game. We have basically had about A month of hype and build up for this game and I don't see it stopping. Honestly Sony have played this perfectly an despite so much footage the game still has an aura of mystery and intrigue about it many games don't have.

Don't forget the initial pitch. Usually, we just get a reveal trailer that's 2 minutes long or so, but Horizon took a step further by transitioning from cutscene to gameplay.
