You played Blood borne though. :P

It's part of the Dark Souls/Demon Souls mantra.

Funny thing is, the main character of Nioh is Irish.

Is it more casual than dark souls?

Hmm I am very tempted but I'm not sure I can commit to playing right now with how long it is. I'm trying a more strict work timetable this week and this wouldn't help.

Ugh decisions ;D

Then pass. I'm not looking to spend hours on the same thing over and over

From the demo according to Neverdies, it's more technique based. He could easily make it back to his death spot the second time around.

Pretty sure that's the opposite of casual.

I meant what you were responding to.
Casual would be doing the same thing over again.
Less casual would be more difficult.

DS is doing the same thing over and over. It's called dying ng. Even when you aren't dying you're doing the same thing over and over again and that's called grinding. And beating the mobs are mostly the same too. Dodge/block,  hit, dodge/block,  hit.  Then theres farming... Which is literally sitting in one spot killing over and over. The same thing..

I've only played Blood borne extensively.  But if you're grinding in the game, it's mostly because you didn't "git gud".
Boss battles require a lot of timing for dodging and making strikes.

Grinding is a staple of the souls series. People use it to get more items/souls.

Sure, but pretty much all grinding in Souls games is optional and can be avoided by "gitting gud".

LOL, no. The boss battles are some of the cheapest in games.
