I turned off directx 12.  I didn't try the benchmark but I started a game.  It was fluid.  Can't say it was 30, but it wasn't slowing down or stuttering.  Not bad for a integrated video card.

Why would dx12 make it worse?

Intel.  I was watching some videos of tomb raider on youtube on the lowest possible settings on an Iris Pro and it ran like dog.  I had always suspected that the drivers aren't up to par.  Iris Pro only has edram for video + system.  That setup probably needs a lot of driver optimizations.  I'ma assuming Intel is behind.  Especially considering my Skull Canyon has an underclocked desktop 6600 in it, it shouldn't be that bad..  I'll try it with Direct X 12 and see how it runs in game vs benchmark.

Yeah DX 12 is less stable.

Just found out that Todd Papy, the guy who directed God of War: Ascension and then left Sony Santa Monica to join Crytek, is now a design director for Cloud Imperium Games on Star Citizen.

That's a shame for Sony, Ascensions is probably the best gameplay wise.

That's great. They need those bigger A name devs.

So Qualcomm has gotten a 10 nm chip before Intel and Microsoft is going to interpret x86 calls to ARM... I don't think Intel is going to be happy with this...

Star Citizen switched to the Amazon fork of CryEngine. Seems crytek is dead.

Yeah SC was the one thing keeping me hopeful for their future. Without them, I think Prey is the only major game announced for the engine.
