Just bought the walking dead: a new frontier.   Gotta get my save from season 2 uploaded to telltale from ps3 so i can use it.  Hoping it's good.

They are listing their predictions for the release dates of the big Sony exclusives. Greg's list looks as follows:

Horizon: Feb 2017
GT Sport: Fall 2017
God of War: Spring 2018
Days Gone: Summer 2018
TLOU 2: Fall 2018
Detroit: Spring 2019
Dreams: Summer 2019
Spider-Man: Fall 2019
Death Stranding: Spring 2020
Sucker Punches next game: Summer/Fall 2020

i think days gone and GoW are closer to release than a lot of people think. if days gone is releasing close to The Last of Us, TLoU will absorb a lot of its hype and kill it. they even said we could expect it in 2017, its clear they are aiming for that window, but it could be delayed to early 2018.

as for GoW, i think its going to be a holiday 2017 game. they just finished a full play through of the game. a lot of work seems to be done on this game already. i could see it releasing next year.

as for Detroit and Dreams.. wtf lol. they expect those games will be released roughly 4 years after they were announced? lol.

and wtf about sucker punches new game. 6 years between games? yeah..... no. unless they are making a new IP with the witcher 3's scale, and i still dont think that would take 6 years, as they already have an engine and a release game on PS4.

Barlong has been on since game since around august 2013. At that time he said he was "assembling an oceans 11 like team" for his project. Fast forward to the GoW reveal, he mentions he had brought people who worked on the original GoW for this game. It's pretty clear it was his intention to make a new GoW since he arrived. The failing of the new IP probably even meant his project sped up, since he probably got a bigger team much faster than anticipated.

4~ years of development time for a GoW game seems pretty reasonable to me

TWD: A New Frontier is season 1 levels of awesome, imo.  Javier is a great new character and clementine is just such a badass.

I actually enjoyed season 2 quite a bit. I downloaded the game from when they gave it on PS+.

I might pick up season 3 when it's on sale.
