Detroit and dreams are not 2019 lol. Why would they even think that?

Well Colin thinks 2018 for both, which I already think is very much stretching it (and he's saying that Dreams might not come out at all, since he thinks its development has been very troubled), but yeah Greg seems to be very negative about this.

2018 is not stretching it for either i don't think.  Highly possible for them both to release then.  And lol at Colin thinking dreams is having development trouble.  Sure it could be but its a freaking massive undertaking what they want to accomplish and not to mention they do streams showing off the game a lot.

Hell I could see Detroit being 2017, but that could be a stretch but it could be possible.

Uhh he's predicting sucker punch to take 6 years for their next game? That's way too long.  I'm expecting 2018 or a surprise announce in 2017 and release in fall 2017.  That's likely not gonna happen though.  Most of it seems pretty logical though.  However I'm expecting spider man and detroit to potentially be 2018 or earlier 2019.

Not sure about Dreams though.
Detroit was announced in 2015...

I think the best way to show why I would find this so disappointing is as follows:

Horizon about 20 months between announcement and release
GT Sport about 2 years
God of War about 20 months
Days Gone about 2 years
TLOU 2 about 2 years (about the same as the games above even though they went out of their way to say how early in development it is?)
Detroit about 3 1/4 years
Dreams about 4 years (not counting the PS4 reveal even though it was shown there as well)
Spider-Man about 3 1/2 years
Death Stranding 3 3/4 years
Sucker Punch assuming an E3 2017 announcement about 3 to 3 1/2 years

Those are some ridiculous windows here. And I've said this before but Sony has already put Spider-Man and God of War in some of their ads, which would be an absurdly misleading thing to do, if they weren't at least planning to have these games come by late 2017 or maybe early 2018.

Edit: All the bolded games I think are at least currently aiming to come out before E3 2018.

Yeah I've thought that Spiderman and God of War are earlier than some might think because of that ad.  But you never know.

I agree with you that most of those are targeting 2017 or 2018.  Adding in TLOU 2.   8)

*edit*  Actually wasn't there a dev or someone from insomniac that made it sound like Spiderman is gonna be earlier than most think? Or am I just not remembering something right?

It's funny that all of this confussion is because Sony is afraid of delays. When was the last time a publisher had so many announced games without release windows?

There was a tweet that potentially hinted at something like that, but that might also just be reading to much into things.

Insomniac Games on Twitter: "@KerrRobinson84 who said it was 2 years away? Just stay tuned. We're still working on it and can narrow it down closer"

I honestly can't remember ever seeing a similar situation. Including Knack 2 there are currently 8 Sony published retail games with no release year even announced.

Looks like their new policy. They probably want to avoid being tarnished with the delay tag as a staple of Sony

seems a bit early for a game that won't release until 2020...
