So, btw is anyone here actually getting a Pro next week? I'm still where I was before the reveil, interested and potentially getting one down the line, when I have the money for it and a new TV to go along with the Pro. That's not going to happen this year however.

I plan to get one but it will only be released in Brasil next year... I will try to import from US but I don't believe I will get it next week :(

I will buy it for 1080p HDTV... no plans for 4k UHD TV.

Ratchet & Clank: PS4 Pro Update Coming Soon – PlayStation.Blog
Not that detailed but at least they confirmed some kind of 1080p supersampling... it is all matter for me right now.

Need to buy this game next time a deal happens.

QuoteIo-Interactive is pleased to announce that HITMAN is coming to PlayStation 4 Pro on November 10, 2016.

Offering the latest visual and technical enhancements, on the PS4 Pro, HITMAN has had a whole new layer of detail added to it; the overall resolution has been increased, aliasing reduced, reflective surfaces improved and more detailed lighting effects implemented, all without compromising the frame rate or the overall gaming experience. A clean and crisp UI rendered natively in 4K, furthermore it uses the extra memory of PS4 Pro to stream in higher quality textures, yielding more details. Agent 47 has never looked so good.

Players without 4K will also benefit from the increased resolution as the image will be downsampled to 1080p to benefit from higher quality shading and less flickering highlights.

Become the Master Assassin in this intense spy-thriller story. As Agent 47 you perform contract hits on powerful, high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world, from Paris, Italy and Morocco to Bangkok, the USA and Japan in this creative stealth action game. Gameplay focuses on taking out targets in huge and intricate sandbox levels with complete freedom of approach. Where to go, when to strike and who to kill - it is all up to you.

Hitman

Another 1080p supersampling win.

Crystal Dynamics Chief Technology Officer Gary Snethen details how Crystal Dynamics and Nixxes Software have enhanced Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for the PlayStation 4 Pro. Additions include three unique visual modes – 4K Resolution, High Frame Rate, and Enriched Visuals – alongside other enhancements such as hardware tessellation, anisotropic filtering, additional dynamic foliage, and more.

QuoteFor enriched visuals mode:
Hardware tessellation has been added

Anisotropic filtering has been increased, they didn't say what level

Additional dynamic foliage

Increased LOD

Additional PureHair strands (so presumably like the highest setting on PC)

Sun soft shadows also come over from PC

Improved bokeh DOF

I was initially disinterested, but the hype has tempted me a bit. I might sell my OG PS4 and get a Pro down the line, but most likely, I'll just wait for the PS5.

PS4 Pro patch update

Previously, I made a post listing the technical details of the PS4 patch.

That was a work-in-progress, and I said at the time I'd post final specs as soon as we know them, which we now do.

We are definitely supporting HDR, on both the PS4 Pro and the base model PS4. If the game detects an HDR TV, it will start in HDR mode. HDR works in all resolutions mentioned below.

If you have a PS4 Pro, and are outputting to a 1080p TV, The Witness will render at 1080p, 60fps, 4x MSAA (which is substantially higher than the base PS4's 900p, 60fps, 2x MSAA). This is the same as we announced in the earlier posting.

If you have a PS4 Pro, and are outputting to a 4k TV, then you get a choice of two modes from the options menu:
(a) 1440p 3D scene, upscaled to 4k, text and UI rendered at 4k, 60fps
(b) 4k rendering for everything, 30fps

We added option (b) because a lot of people seem to want it, and it does look really good!

I don't yet know the exact release date for the patch, but it is coming pretty soon, in November sometime. We are now in the process of nailing down all the little details and making sure they are good. As soon as we know the release date I will announce it here.

PS4 Pro patch update – The Witness
Night time shots look better with HDR off.  Day time shots look better with HDR on.  Dusk images look better with HDR off... something isn't right here :/

Legend

Quote from: ethomaz on Nov 03, 2016, 11:09 AMAll options are for Pro only (OG PS4 runs it at 1080@30fps in movie mode and ~900p@60fps in action mode).

See Legend? You can have a lower framerate mode if you have a mode that actually match the OG PS4 because that you won't have forced gameplay disadvantage... that is what Sony is avoiding... forced gameplay disadvantage and not optional one.
Nioh is exactly how it should be done. Both OG and Pro have the 30 fps mode.

UC4 patch is out!
