There are a lot of first impressions on GAF from gamers that received the console before street date.

Seems like all them agree with silent/quiet and the checkerboard boost in graphics are really nice.

Yep, I think people are going to be impressed. DF seemed to be happy with it too.

German/Swiss Gamestop trade-in program for the Pro. Spiele = Games

Depending on what games qualify, this would be a pretty decent deal.

Looks like load times are better on Pro even with stock HDD.

R&C patch is online and add temporal AA and new motion blur tech to OG PS4 plus all the new graphics setthings for Pro.

BTW 2 minutes to embargo lift.

Sony PlayStation 4 Pro review • Eurogamer.net

Sad they didn't test OG games framerate without patch plus SSD.

What would an SSD do for a games framerate? I thought that only affected stuff like loadtimes.

But I'm just a tad bit disappointed in the fact that unpatched games aren't affected positively at all it seems, I understand that unleashing the whole power of the Pro on unpatched titles can potentially break things, but I do hope that Sony will look into at least opening up some of the Pro power to the unpatched titles to get more stable framerates etc. for instance by keeping the GPU upclocked as it is in the Pro mode.

Oh now I get it. But they did test the framerate in an unpatched game (Project Cars) and concluded it was the same.

pCARs is a good game for that? One game is enough for comparison???

I mean it is better to compare frame rates between unlocked games and it is obvious locked games already running solid won't see difference.

I want just more tests before believe him.
