End of an era. Only PS3 remains.
Kinda sad, honestly. I loved the 360 when it first launched and some of my fondest memories from last gen were with 360 games.

ps3 will probably end soon too.  launches aligned i expect 360 will be the longest lived.

Not for awhile. Theyll probably serve the same amount of time on the market.

i dunno,. ps3 isn't really coming down in cost probably due to the expensive cell technology.  if sony drops the price of the base ps4 model in "october" when they launch the ps4k than i think ps4 and ps3 will officially be the same price.

ps3 is/will be dead.

Well see. I think the could drop the price on ps3. The way they act as a company now is differnet from the past. So getting as much profit as they can per unit is important.

Yeah in America PS3 has dropped like a rock. Definitely on its deathbed over here. Also has dropped in Japan a lot.

Unless some crazy European or ROW country is buying them all, it might not even last till October.

I hope so.  :P

Lol, I remember a Ms guy said they will discontinue the 360 the day after the PS3 is

Xevross

Well I guess now is a good time to do so. They'll probably release some sort of new xbox one model this year.

Its a shame though, there won't be enough replacements out there for all the red rings that haven't happened yet ;D

Kim: 360's lifespan 1 day longer than PS3

Sony has been very good with longevity of their consoles in emerging markets.... Long after next gen launched. However, this gen seems to be different. Ps3 costs aren't getting as low and PS4 is booming.

We'll see. I can see them holding on a little longer if they have consistent sales in those markets.

I've had countless red rings of death. Heck even my current 360 had a temporary red ring of death like 5 years ago, yet somehow it fixed itself one day. Plus the disc drive can't open any more unless the system is lying down. It's a ~10 years old launch unit that lacks HDMI.

The fear of my 360 breaking is very real!

Would be nice if they dropped the price instead of discontinuing it already.

Power processors are hard to come by.  Same with PS3.  Though I do hope they drop the price of the PS3s.  I need a spare or two.
