It doesn't have to make sense.

Someone should tell him, "Quite possible! I mean it's not like they closed 8 studios or something. I'm sure there's room for some!"

or just tell him to go eat phil spencers sucker. but he would probably like that.

but back on topic, this is surprising, since Driveclub went on to sell 2 million before the PS+ release, i thought Evo would atleast survive, and then there was the Driveclub VR, but then BAMN, this. Driveclub is a quality product, Sony should have given Evo another chance.

Yeah I can see Sony not wanting to greenlight another game, but I really expected the studio to stay slimmed down and just support Driveclub as a service. I guess Bikes failed hard.

He apparently does not understand the difference between letting developers go and reallocating them.

I guess their DLC plan was simply not successful enough, Bikes too probably, with how cheap the DLC is they probably hoped for way more people to bite.

I think at least half of Gaf could get together to teach a class entitled "How to successfully run your business into the ground".

This whole thing sucks, but all of this pretending that everything was fine and dandy about Driveclub and that there couldn't have been a reason for Sony to close the studio other than "Haha, fudge Evolution" is kinda ridiculous.

Such a sad day.  They deserved a second chance.  So much for them to do.  WipEout PS4, Motorstorm PS4 and Driveclub VR. And then driveclub 2 on the PS5 along with another Motorstorm on it.

Can't see why they shut them down,  they had future potential.
