Sony confirms closure of Evolution Studios

Can't see why they shut them down,  they had future potential.
They should have been rebranded as Polyphony UK and assisted on Gran Turismo, I understand if Sony just want to focus on one premiere racing franchise, but there was still a lot of technical expertise that Evolution could have brought especially to the GT franchise and PD seems to clearly need help to realize their vision in a reasonable timeframe.

It's alright if Sony wants to focus on Gran Turismo but fans will not be as patient or as forgiving this gen if they do not get it out by mid 2017. PD take too long and ultimately they need to deliver this time as GT5 disappointed and GT6 was not played by many.
