So now my sister wants me to build her husband one. He records music. Is there anything special I need to look out for that?

Maybe a sound card?

I'd look into seeing what kind of build he has.  If he has a sound card, then you'd probably want one.

If he does music, why doesn't he use a mac?

he wants one, but they don't want to spend that much. Plus I can build him something that That will destroy a mac, at least in gaming.

That's not saying much....
There are like no games on Mac.

Even a windows 98 computer can destroy a mac in gaming.

That's why I can't see recommending a mac to him over a pc. When a pc can record music just as well.

She has 1500 to spend and I just put together a system with a 980ti and 16 gb of ddr4. But they'd still need an os and a box to stick it in. but that would be an all water cooled system too.

I wouldn't waste the money on the 980.  You need to put that money towards a high end sound card.

The MB I picked already has a high end sound card on it.

That wasn't the best trailer...

First one had me super hyped. Second had me pretty hyped. That just felt meh.

Hopefully the game itself crushes it.

I thought it looked cool and I think the game will be good.

Working on the OS now.

I spent more time on cable management than I did building the system. And the stupid vgc power cable as two on the end and there's nothing I can do to make it look better.  Unless I order an extension. But I don't have time for that. Plus I'm not making much on it .

This computer didn't score all that great. But it seems good.
Scored fairly well, considering it wasn't built to be a 1000$ gaming PC.
