Is A 750 ti good enough for my Co workers system?

You should ask them.  
It's a decent GPU, that for a lot of games will out perform PS4/XBO especially.  
It won't do VR very well though for example.

Well he has an xbox already. It's for his wife and she only plays facebook games. Really all they asked for was dual monitor support so I got one that has two hdmi outs, to make it easy on them. I just wanted to make sure it's good for general computing needs.

It's just I promised him I could build a better pc than you could buy at best buy for the same money. I think I did that but haven't check what best buy is selling lately.

Really like Lumberyard, but compared to the others, it still has a ways to go for VR and documentation.  Pretty far behind the others.
