Well Gamestop edited the article removing these games from the article after the BOOMMMMMM!!!
Can it be a mistake? Yes but looks like they reveled something early and MS didn't like.

BTW GAF archived the old version of the article.

Dr. Pezus

Nice! Hope the other games mentioned are indeed coming to pc too

Does make you wonder if it was a pure mistake or unintended early leak
Scalebound always seemed like a strong candidate for PC port anyway

Quote from: NotBananaKing on Feb 11, 2016, 12:21 PMthe question is, has this always been a PC release or did they decide on this later in development?

i guess ill play this game eventually on PC.
There's no way this wasn't intended from the start. Remedy has always released PC versions of their games. Sam Lake himself had mentioned he wants the game on PC. This was just another in a long line of Microsoft bait-and-switch moves. Get people to believe that only one version exists to get as many people to invest in the hardware as possible for it and then announce shortly before or after that it's going elsewhere. My guess is that the only thing that changed was the timing. It's no secret that Quantum Break was not generating a ton of excitement. The lack of articles being written about it compared to other AAA titles, its considerably low rank on Amazon when compared to comparable upcoming games, and a general absence of discussion among the gaming community were all signs that this game was not going to cause doors to bust down. So Microsoft probably decided that it was not worth waiting any longer to try and use it to bump up Xbox sales and that the better path for the company at large was to just release the PC version now. That expands the potential install base right off the bat for them. The Xbox brand loses a little but Microsoft gains as a whole since it was clear this game wasn't really going to move consoles anyways.

For Scalebound to be worthwhile investment, if absolutely needs to go on PC. Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far this gen, the XB1 has only gotten one JRPG and that was FF Type-0. That game has been out for nearly a year. Assuming FFXV comes out this June, the XB1 will have gone 15 months without a new JRPG and the vast majority of FFXV's sales will go on the PS4 anyways. Scalebound will likely come before Kingdom Hearts III, but it will not be out until 2017. Assuming Scalebound comes out February 2017 (January is a slow month), the XB1 will have gone another 8 months without a new JRPG. That is not a good way to retain the fanbase.

Gears 4 coming to the PC is a big surprise (if the news is true, that is).

The chartz has PS4 killing everything else so far this year. Pretty much 3X it's closest rival every week.

I know the numbers will probably be off but they won't be that far off. That's pretty crazy.

Xevross

If no one has done it I'll setup the NPD thread when I get home in about an hour and a quarter

I think they're overtracking PS4 in Jan
Good excuse to undertrack it for 80% of 2016 until official figures come out

ethomaz

I do think PS4 will be UP this January vs last year.

BTW there is a guy on GAF saying one of the titles removed from the original article is coming to PC... the other he doesn't have info.

To be fair I have a hard time to believe the guy that wrote the GS article wrote Gears and Scal by mistake... it was a leak but they are under NDA yet.

Rorono

Scale is likely
Gears might but much later, they'll want to have some system selling potential in the holiday

Yeah Jan seems crazy. Also, vita outselling WiiU?? Maybe, but only because of Japan
