Great PS4 number and interesting that they revised their OI up despite the Uncharted delay, though they did acknowledge it had a negative effect.

Oh but on the whole company side they severely revised their profit forecast for their devices division down (the image sensor one) but still expect to hit their overall original profit goal, will be interesting to see if they can achieve that.

I was thinking about 37.5m so this is a pretty good number, I would describe it as amazing if we didn't already know the 35.9m sell through figure. What makes me very happy is the 1.8m on shelves, looks like they finally learned their holiday stock lesson.

Sony kept their FY PS4 estimate at 17.5m, which means they expect to ship 2.1m in the next quarter

Last year they shipped 500k more.

They shipped 2.4m in the comparative quarter last year. That was with the help of Bloodborne and The Order. They also have 400k more on the shelves compared to last year, so you'd expect shipments to be down 400k by default. Factor all this in, being 300k down from last year would be a very good achievement.

The quarter after should be up, thanks to Uncharted mainly (they shipped 3.0m in the same quarter last year).

I think the high amount of stock in channel is the reason that Sony did not increase their forecast.

However I still expect them to beat 17.5 million.

Uncharted shipment is this quarter... the game releases in April... so everything shipped in March will be for Uncharted launch.

This quarter there are several ps4 bundles in Japan, mostly limited though, and it's Japan anyway so the impact wouldn't be big
At least there's a FC Primal bundle, and SfV too. Both EU only I think

Yeah der Nobel I meant this comment on gaf. Like it's too much to accept ps4 up 100% YOY and just say well done it's doing OK. since the ps4 came out in Japan he's consistently raised his expectations of what the ps4 will sell just above what it actually sells so he can continue to spell doom.
