Did you try setting it to Wumbo?

Put a good 3,5-4 hours in today, am now at 250-ish panels solved. Really liking it so far, I am wondering what they are trying to do with the story though, the voice recordings I've found until now don't seem to be much more than pretentious.

Edit: Just wanted to quickly finish one puzzle and now I've suddenly gone up to 330 solved panels, this game is pretty good at sucking you in when you have a good run. :D

Also Legend looks like we're autistic, quality discussion going on over at the chertz, lol.

gamrConnect Forums - The Witness is the first disappointment of 2016

QuoteSomeone at metacritic cleverly named it autism simulator. It was fun for about 1 hour but I felt no satisfaction after solving puzzles but rather relief. Mechanically the game feels wooden because you have no jumping and invisible walls everywhere. I would pay 3 euro for this game not 37. Thankfully my cousin's sister's in law daughter of cousin of basket son gifted it to me on my secondary Steam account.

You're getting close to the end!

I discovered the minor spoiler
Spoiler for Hidden:
Alternate easter egg ending.

Much better than the actual ending, which kinda sucks. Really hope their is a third ending option once all panels are solved.

Yeah I think I could finish the game now, but I think I'll activate the other lights first, might as well go for the platinum trophy.

Did you do the

cave
area yet?

If not, then that's what I mean by reaching the end. I'm stuck.

I'm not sure but probably not, from where do you enter that area?

It took me about 10 hours to figure out how to enter it.

Finally solved it!

Haha yeah then I don't want to spoil it.

Basically I reached 360 panels and couldn't find any more.

Just found the bird thing and I can only agree, god dang nabbit is that shame.

I'm done with the game. Any further play would just be to enjoy the atmosphere since I don't care about 100% the non puzzle things.

So now it's time to search online and learn some lore/what I missed!

DerNebel

From the USgamer review that gave the game a 2/5 and thus plled the metacritic score down to 88 again (-.-):

It's easy to fall in love with The Witness, and even easier to have your heart broken by the callous indifference of Jonathan Blow's beautiful island. A healthy challenge is good for any game, but the puzzles on display here offer few inroads to understanding for those who can't think exactly like their creator.

I'm feeling strongly compelled to make a stupid americans joke at this....
