So probably around 1 and a half million then. This will include 360 numbers but still, its doing better than we thought.

Absolutely massive decline from the previous entry though

We shall see. I wasn't too impressed with the news. Two consoles and bundled after all. December NPD will be telling. It'd need to basically triple Nov (175k right?) to be past a million.
Greenberg has been caught being mistaken before

Rorono

With just 200k in November NPD I don't buy it being sold through
Even with flat sales across both months, WW numbers couldn't reach 1M. It'd have to be up in December and games don't really do that. Even SW doesn't seem to be up, just flat at most.
With digital I can see it scraping (not "well above") 1M but retail below that.

"Well over" could mean anything, especially coming from a joke like Greenberg. MS' damage control is not going to change what everybody knows, Tomb Raider has done horribly for an entry in the series. You could get the game for $40 less than a month after launch at several retailers, am I supposed to pretent to not see that this isn't normal? I mean for gods sake you can pre-order, PRE-ORDER, the pc version for this, which I'm sure nobody expected to land in january either, for 30 bucks. They are god dang desperate to get sales on this thing.

Best thing we can do is to wait for NDP_Mulcair or creamsugar's leaks. We know that US and UK make up the vast majority of the game's sales. If the sales aren't as good as or significantly better than November's, then something is fishy. There's little possibility that the rest of Europe picked up the slack. If we look at Germany's software charts, Tomb Raider never breached the Top 10 and fell out of the Top 20 by its third week. Plus, it has not received a BIU Award.

Rorono

Rephrasing, cause I didn't properly explain myself
1M refers to sold through (including digital)
"Well over" = all of it (shipped)

though scalebound being delayed is good for it and for MS. after Tomb Raider got obliterated this holiday its clear that not all games do better during the holiday season. Scalebound going up against Mass Effect, CoD, Gears, battlefield, GT6, Destiny 2 and what ever is going to released this holiday is just going to kill it.

i also think MS has learned its losing more not having games early in the year than how much the gain from stuffing everything in the holidays. i think this was pushed back to spread releases out more for MS

Tomb Raider has Sold over 1 million in 2015. Xb1+360+Digital.

for comparisons sake, Bloodborne, a new IP, sold over 1 million in 12 days. Infamous Second Son sold over 1 million in 9 days (on a hardware install base of 7 million). Tomb raider sold 1 million (could very well be much over that, but i doubt it is) sold 1 million in 2 months, coming off of a game that sold 8 million.
They said the same thing last year, that they'd spread out their releases more but looking at 2016 that doesn't look to be the case again. Yeah, they have Quantum Break in April, but what else? I absolutely refuse to count new Killer Instinct DLC as a release worth mentioning, just like Ori Definitive edition (seriously I didn't even know the game had DLC) or betas for Gears and Fable (I wouldn't count the betas for Dreams or GT Sports either). I'm not sure how this Crackdown thing is going to work, if the PR dude just forgot a word and this is also a beta or if they are actually releasing the multiplayer standalone first, so maybe this could be another one. The only other thing releasing early in 2016 is Cobalt which looks like a random indie game apparently being made by Mojang.

So basically it doesn't look like they are spreading out in 2016 either as in the first half of the year they are only releasing two actually new games (maybe 3?) one of which looks like less than last years Screamride, versus apparently 5 games persumably around the holidays unless more games are delayed.

XCX is at 259k NA 250k EU and 140k JP according to Volkampf tracker(take 5k out for double accounts)
So it's over 600k worldwide thankfully.
This does not count the people who haven't gotten 5 hours into the story yet...

When I saw the numbers I thought US too high and EU too low
I say US too high because not only is half a million a lot, but also because maybe it'd do that on the previous week (SW movie hype + last days at 300), not Xmas week (back to 350 + post-xmas decline)

Anyway.. CES conference starts in 22 hours. I think we will get PS4 LTD before then, via PR.

Odd that they didn't say sell through then.

Both games you mentioned sold during March. A big month for sales but nothing compared to November and December combined. Which is what it took for Rise of the Tomb Raider, across two platforms with higher install bases, to reach the same milestone.

And a $20 discount.

Apparently, you can preorder the PC version for $30.

Also confirms that Xbox One continues to outpace 360 sales. We know that at this point in time the 360 had shipped 17.7 million worldwide so it's likely that Xbox One is over that number.

They are talking only about MAU recorda... not sales lol

So this confirm shipped numbers.
