"Winning E3" is totally pointless anyway and something that only fanboys care about anyway, so Nintendo won E3 2014 and what did it change for them? Absolutely nothing. The only time when winning E3 actually meant something was 2013 and even that's more because of the missteps that MS made and not because of what Sony did well.

So I don't think companies have anything to gain by winning E3 but something to lose by having a particularly bad showing, especially before a new hardware launch (think Nintendos E3 2012 too, for instance).

Edit: Oh and is this E3 discussion a reaction to this thread? Cause this is exactly what I meant when I said the overconfidence that some people have in the NX is ridiculous, likening the fact that the NX is getting tons of threads on the chertz every day to the biggest media attention ever, saying that because of Zelda and the NX (which for all we know could be utter shame) MS and Sony basically won't stand a chance to get attention at or "win" E3? Give me a break.

It is.

Scalebound is delayed to 2017. I see this as a good thing for the game because it would have gotten buried in the next holiday season. Maybe Microsoft learned lessons from Rise of the Tomb Raider? :P

Also, ReCore is delayed to general 2016 window (originally spring 2016). PC version will also be made.

This puts the XB1's exclusive lineup to just Quantum Break and the Fable Legends beta...

Spring lineup you mean. ;)

But yeah, Delaybox One, I guess? Kinda surprised about Scalebound, thought they'd surely push for 2016 with that one, not so much surprised about ReCore, I stand by my thought that MS in no way thought that this game would actually be out by spring when they announced it, that was nothing but a simple bait and switch. The PC version doesn't surprise me either.

Also I recently checked the channel of crudgamer (don't ask me why) and saw that he made a more than 1 hour long video on the 5 week UC4 delay, wonder if this will get similar attention, guess not...

Yeah, I had a brain fart and meant to say for the first half of 2016.

Scalebound's gameplay footage at Gamescom was very choppy. For MS to make Kamiya to push the release date forward will spell disaster, so delaying it to 2017 is the smartest choice. Not to mention, Platinum Games is working on other huge titles like Star Fox and Nier Automata, so I guess they're prioritizing those games.

Hmm, but even looking at their 2016 lineup, it's just gotten significantly weaker. Especially if you have a gaming PC you have basically no need for an X1.

  • Gears of War 4 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer Beta in Spring 2016/Launch in Fall 2016
  • Quantum Break (Xbox One) – April 5, 2016
  • Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Fall 2016
  • Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016 (so full game not in 2016?)
  • Fable Legends Open Beta (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016 (so full game not in 2016?)
  • ReCore (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016 (likely candidate for another delay?)
  • Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016 (likely candidate for a delay?)
  • Gigantic (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016 (honestly, is anyone excited for this?)
  • Killer Instinct: Season 3 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – March 2016 (using DLC to pad your list)
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Windows 10) – Spring 2016
  • Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016 (well now that's really just padding the list)
  • Cobalt (Xbox One, Xbox 360 & Steam) – Feb. 2, 2016 (had to look up what this even is)

Rorono

They had already said only the MP of C3 was set for 2016. Not enough people paid attention, i kept saying it's not really a 2016 game

I don't think Sea of thieves will be delayed. Recore though..lmao. I'd be surprised if it's out before holiday 2017.

Would be surprised if ReCore's delay was anything but a strategic decision. Feels more like Microsoft is hiding the game vs game isn't ready to show.

PC announce is more interesting, and could be a part of the delay. For 2016 XBO full exclusives that leaves us with:

Quantum Break
Gears 4
Crackdown 3 MP

MS still has tons of time to announce things, but that list is a far cry from best year ever.

Also confirms that Xbox One continues to outpace 360 sales. We know that at this point in time the 360 had shipped 17.7 million worldwide so it's likely that Xbox One is over that number.

COD ENDS 2015 ON TOP

04/Jan/2016
The year ends with 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' (-39%) comfortably rooted to No1, making it five weeks at the top in 2015, a record only beaten by 'FIFA 16' which managed six weeks.

There is also no change at No2 as 'Star Wars Battlefront' (-39%) remains popular, having stayed in the Top 3 since launch. 'Fallout 4' (-34%) finishes the year ahead of 'FIFA 16' (-54%), jumping one place to No3, while the phenomenally successful football game and biggest grossing game of 2015 has to settle for No4. 'Grand Theft Auto V' (-32%) is a non-mover at No5, while 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Siege' (-9%) moves back up to its highest ever chart position, climbing three places from No9 to No6. Ubisoft's other Top 10 title, 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' (-44%) holds on to No7 ahead of 'Just Cause 3' (-48%) at No8 and 'WWE 2K16' (-42%) at No9. 'Forza Motorsport 6' (-35%) keeps another Microsoft title, 'Halo 5: Guardians' (-36%) out of the Top 10 as both games climb two places with Forza charting one place ahead at No10.

It's sell in, but still better than nothing!

Wonder if RoTR passed it in sell through?

Well, that is what happens when you put all eggs in the holiday season basket. Imagine how much better Rise of the Tomb Raider will fare if MS decided to release it in February. Instead, the XB1's lineup is quite weak. To put the PS4's first half of 2016 in perspective:

Amplitude (PS4 & PS3) - January 5, 2016
Hardware Rivals (PS4) - January 5, 2016
The Witness (PS4 & PC) - January 26, 2016
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (PS4 & PSV) - February 2, 2016
Firewatch (PS4 & PC) - February 9, 2016
Gravity Rush Remastered (PS4) - February 9, 2016
Street Fighter V (PS4 & PC) - February 16, 2016
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune (PS4) (English version import-only) - February 25, 2016
The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition (PS4) - March 1, 2016
Heavy Rain & Beyond: Two Souls Collection (PS4) (Europe-only) - March 2, 2016
Shadow of the Beast (PS4) - March 2, 2016
Alienation (PS4) - March 2, 2016
Nights of Azure (PS4 & PSV) - March 29, 2016
MLB 16: The Show (PS4 & PS3) - March 29, 2016
Ratchet & Clank (PS4) - April 12, 2016
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PS4) - April 26, 2016

Day of the Tentacle Remaster (PS4, PSV, & PC) - Early 2016
Megadimension Neptunia Victory II (PS4 & PC) - Early 2016
Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force (PS4) - Spring 2016
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator (PS4) - Spring 2016
No Man's Sky (PS4 & PC) - June 2016
Odin Sphere Leifhrasir (PS4, PS3, & PSV) - Q2 2016

Yeah.... this is quite lopsided, don't you think?
