He said that for April.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6264101

He was wrong because PS4 indeed kept the moment in April... that's why I don't think he has data for all US... only a few retails.

BTW he was saying the PS4 was meeting the demand since January but that just happened in April to be fair.

Like me and ethomaz have mentioned, he's been very wrong lately. He might just have sales data for his/her's stores.
He has only been "wrong" about PS4 sales in May really. He said what he said mid-May though so sales might've fallen off a cliff after that

QuoteUnless NPD decides to do some major adjustments prepare for a large drop off for both X1 and PS4. Anyone thinking PS4 could keep the momentum it had are sadly mistaken. And X1 is dead.

I didn't see that large drop for PS4. Neither PS4 losing the moment... it sold ~200k in April a four-week month.

It was a large drop though. An average of 74k per week down to 50k per week. I guess it depends on what on you think is large but I'd say its large.

I'm pretty sure Ben said he only has data for a district of gamestops though, however he can try and sneak a look at other figures (but he isn't allowed to).

It was not large becasue April is always a slow month compared with March... it was a pretty good month for PS4.

BTW he is saying Xbox One is tracking ahead PS4 in June... I don't believe that and NPD will show opposite.

I'm willing to believe it because we have no evidence to say otherwise yet. I still think PS4 will win NPD though but by what margin remains to be seen.

Just a look at Amazon Best Sellers.

#1 The Last of Us Remastered

I'm done here :P

Just kidding... hourly ranking is not a good way to guess sales but TLOU at first is AMAZING.

That's how I see the situation... the Kinectless SKU didn't give any boost that will made a 130k difference that PS4 had in May.

I agree amazon shows no change but there could be more change at other retailers. The reason I think PS4 will win is because of your Amazon theory but I would be surprised if the boost isn't bigger than amazon is showing

Aqua shared a lot of data.

Quote from: Aquamarine;117975413Is this thread dead? Good. Time for some relative market highlights:

1) Watch_Dogs = 1.3 million units sold, close to 20% of total software units and close to 30% of total software revenues...more than than the majority of the Top 10 combined.

2) Ubisoft had a ridiculous 31% marketshare of total publisher revenues

3) XBO + PS4 = 43% of software sales in May

4) New releases = 50% of revenue this month, first May in DECADES that it's been so high

5) This is the very first month where PS4 software > PS3 software

6) First month in quite a while where Nintendo has YOY console software growth...for example, an unprecedented 57% of Nintendo 1st-party software sales came from the Wii U

7) Total industry = +52% YOY in May
$586 million

8) Total hardware ecosystem = +95% YOY in May
$187 million

9) Total software ecosystem (excluding PC) = +57% YOY in May
$274 million

10) Total software ecosystem (including PC)
$284 million

11) Total console software ecosystem = +74% YOY in May
$247 million

12) Sony console software ecosystem = +145% YOY in May
(47% marketshare)

13) Microsoft console software ecosystem = +36% YOY in May
(39% marketshare)

14) Nintendo console software ecosystem = +52% YOY in May
(14% marketshare)

I don't think the PS4 will be that high.
It is a litte down compared with May... June is 5 weeks, May was 4 weeks.
