Guys FF Type 0 HD did 40k first month on XBO.
Prbably at 75k on xbox one worldwide.
FFXV will be lucky to get over 200k.
Wait....
If Tomb Raider flopped....
Scalebound is gonna flop harder...  :'(

This is what happens when you suddenly ditch the JRPG audience after FFXIII.

Quote from: darkknightkryta on Dec 12, 2015, 02:04 AMSquare will either have to cancel or release it digitally.  Looks like they can't sell past their minimum orders.
Want an idea on how much confidence SE has in selling Kingdom Hearts on XBO? Look at Kingdom Hearts 2.8. The dang game is basically a prologue to Kingdom Hearts 3 and it's not even being made for XBO.

Imo Square should just throw out all plans for Xbox versions of their JRPGs and use the freed up resources to fund another game for PS4, that'd probably have a chance to be more profitable than X1 versions of FFXV, KHIII or FFVII:R and assuming it's a new IP it could even become something to use for the future. But that's just me of course.

Looking over their upcoming games, it looks like they may have largely agreed with that sentiment. Outside of FF15 and KH3, every Japanese game Square is working on has no confirmed XBO version and pretty much all of them have confirmed PS4 versions.

I really wonder how XBO KH3 is going to be handled. XBO FFXV is already going to sell poorly, but KH3 will do even worse because Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is going to bring the fanbase to the PS4. We also need to take the possibility of Sony getting marketing rights into account. After all, it won't be difficult for Sony to grab it and the Tomb Raider situtation likely made it even cheaper. However, it's too late for Square to cancel it because they are too far into development to turn back....

Man, gaf is good sometimes but when it comes to arguing about sales they really don't know what's up

What are you refering to?

Rorono

That's no surprise

BTW, PS2 did 4M in Nov-Dec combined npds back in 200....2 I think.
Wonder if it'll be able to match that in 2016. It'll probably exceed 3M this year

Germany is an extreme case. I don't think any other of the major countries has that big of a gap, except Japan. But still, that is "only" 4.2:1, so if we assume PS4 has about 20m in the world outside of US+UK by now and use the same ratio we would get XB1 at around 4.8m there and so 9.7+4.8m+~2m = ~16.5m

Oh yea, I've seen it quite regularly on Gaf that people believe the X1 still hasn't reached 15 million or something, they are really trying hard to make it do worse than it already is.

Rorono

Well they'd have been right before November. More specifically, BF.

Yes, I don't know why 4-5m outside the US+UK seems way too high for some people (including ethomaz). PS4 is at around 20m in the same countries.

I think you pretty off about your ratios for EU and RotW.

These are the max and min for Xbox One at end of November.

US 9.8m (70% min) = WW 14m (100%)
US 9.8m (60% max) = WW 16.3m (100%)

Anything outside this range is really hard to believe.
