So Xenoblade X debuts at #28. Flop, but a lesser flop than Xenoblade
___

Last week's Black Friday deals helped propel 'Fifa 16' (-41%) back to the top, where it remains this week claiming its sixth No1 crown. It leads an unchanged Top 3 for the second week joined by 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' (-32%) at No2 and 'Star Wars: Battlefront' (-34%) at No3. Despite the lack of change at the top, two titles do make their debuts in the Top 10 this week. Square Enix's 'Just Cause 3' is the highest new entry coming to PS4 & Xbox One for the first time. It's a triumphant start with the third iteration scoring a week 1 high for the series with sales up 46% on Just Cause 2. 'Fallout 4' (-27%) slips a place down to No5 but is ahead of Ubisoft debutant 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Siege' which makes its mark at No6. 'Minecraft: Story Mode' (+16%) continues to deliver impressive week on week sales figures holding the No7 spot for a second week. 'Grand Theft Auto V' (-20%) is down two places to No8 while 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection' (-36%) slides four places to No9. 'WWE 2K16' (+35%) benefits from retailer promotions delivering another increase in sales to propel it up four places to No10. Wii U exclusive 'Xenoblade Chronicles X' debuts at No28 with sales up 73% on the launch week of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, which released on the Wii in 2011.

Andrew House, president and global chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment, said at the weekend that he expected the PS4 to match or outpace the PS2's sales in its first three to five years.

"We've just seen the most successful Black Friday in the company's history," he said in an interview with the Financial Times. "We are now trying to benchmark against the success of the PlayStation 2 - or exceed it if possible."

___
Give us some dang numbers, Sony

____

The PS4's performance has been boosted by growth in new markets such as the Middle East and China, after a 14-year ban on sales there was lifted in March. In Europe, meanwhile, Germany has become Sony's largest console market for the first time, as gamers switch from PCs to PlayStations.

Guess we know where part of the missing PS4s are on chertz lulz

Rorono

Largest console market could just be a combination of considering total numbers + market share. Market share is bigger in other countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal etc) but their total numbers are a lot smaller, thus making them a bit less important. But market share is much bigger in Germany than UK.  It does not mean, unlike what GAF is thinking, that Germany PS4 sales have overtaken UK's.

It is possible. But I can believe that PS4 sells more in Germany tbh. More people + complete domination of the market

I have no problem seeing the PS4 having sold more here than it has in the UK. We have over 15 million more people living here and the PS brand is significantly more dominant here as well. Even the chertz have the gap between the two at less than 400k, I can easily imagine the site being off by that much in these 2 countries.

Edit: And we won't have to wait too much longer for numbers, thursday baby.

Well they won't give BF numbers specifically though ;/

53% of all physical copies of Rainbow Six Siege sold in the UK during its launch week were on Xbox One, according to figures revealed by GFK Chart-Track. 47% were sold on PS4, with 0% of physical copies sold on PC.

The figure should be considered a win for Microsoft, which has typically seen multiplatform titles sell more on PS4 at launch. Just Cause 4, for example, saw 57% of its physical copies sold on PS4 last week and 42% on Xbox One. 2% were sold on PC.

Rainbow Six 0% on PC lol??

Eh, we might also get something on those. And maybe the gap will be big enough to just be able to assume who won that day anyway.

I doubt that though. The gap will probably only be like 1-200k

Rorono

The BF battle will be as boring as October NPD
i just want to know the whole November gap

10k for Xenoblade X is apparently good.

Meanwhile, some of the same people saying that are saying Rainbox Six Siege with ~75k sales flopped. Wat.

I was thinking that was quite decent considering the low profile release

It's expectations I guess, Ubisoft wants Rainbow Six to somehow sell 7 million copies, so that makes this launch simply appear as not very good. We of course don't know what expectations for XCX are but I wouldn't call 10k for that good either.

Germany  and UK was close enough to see Germany overtaken UK.
It is possible.

Lol Ubisoft is so out of touch though. 7m?!?! That's worse than SE's expectations for Tomb Raider

This guy on GAF is so smart :P

QuoteJust to compare UK and Germany.
 Germany: 1.6m sold @ March 2015
 UK: 2m sold @ May 2015
The numbers were close enough to Germany reach the top position in 8 months.
