Xbox Breaks Black Friday Records; Windows 10 Gaming Continues To Rise - NeoGAF

Total paid unique users in the Xbox Store also broke records with an increase of 55 percent across Xbox One and Xbox 360 compared to Black Friday week last year, with 88 percent growth on Xbox One alone.
Hardware is hot this holiday – the Xbox One 500GB Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle was the best-selling Xbox console bundle. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller has been met with high demand and was sold out at most major U.S. retailers since launch and we are working hard with retailers to replenish stock.

So xbox up yoy for black friday? I still think it'll be down for November because it sold incredible well from day 1 November last year when the firesale began.

Either way it bodes well for Sony if they beat those impressive black friday numbers, because you have to add on the pre orders plus it was selling well from the start of november.

Glad to see strong XB1 BF sales. Bodes well for the industry after a poor October. I think it might be slightly down yoy now for November but I think it may manage 1.1m. No claim of victory suggests ps4 beat them though.

Hmm I bet they included 360 sales to make that 2nd biggest week. Wording makes that seem like the case. I guess XB1 has done just short of 800k in the US that week, which is very good going.

what about exclusives? They call TR exclusive btw so that's TR+Gears+Forza+Halo at least

chertz have BF launch week software chart up (US and UK). I don't believe the PS4 version sold 1.1m while the XB1 version sold 1.0m...
In the UK the difference was way bigger (240k vs. 160k)

Well at least PS4 hardware totals have been fixed to 30.2m

Seems like XB1 got adjusted up by over 1m too though lol

Oh no that 30.2m appears to be as of after BF week lol and XB1 won BF week by ~100k?

Chertz numbers for Black Friday US:

PS4 - 686k
X1 - 804k

Jesus christ the data that website is receiving is utterly worthless.

And the PS4 supposedly wins by only 14k in the week of Battlefront ffs, making them claim the X1 as the leading console for November, seriously ioi fix your moronic algorithm that you've probably just carried over from the 360 and which still thinks holidays + US + Xbox = leading console. What load of bull.

Seriously, this is almost agitating at this point.

You can put all these games together plus the multiplatforms this year and it won't reach the "most critically acclaimed holiday lineup of Xbox history".

360 did have better critically acclaimed holiday lineups... in fact no critic acclaimed that this year... only MS spin.

I mean for gods sake the Battlefront platform gap in the US is barely bigger than the one in the UK, does nobody think that that can't be right? Seriously can't wait for next week, to be able to legitimately justify my laughing at all this crud "data" they are putting out here.
