So PS4 won this year in UK... nice.

Week 48, 2014

Xbox One - 108,678
PlayStation 4 - 108,087

Week 48, 2015

PlayStation 4 - 139,000 (+28.6%)
Xbox One - 134,000 (+23.3%)

BTW MS last year PR win was barely a win lol

That's pretty much what I expected in the UK. I really want to hear lifetime figures, I'd be shocked if XB1 hasn't passed 2m yet. They may just not be announcing the milestones any more. Then again, they said it was a slow year so it could have been a terrible year for xb1

Lol I find it hilarious how MS biased MCV is.  Why mention the price of refurbished PS4s? How much did refurbished XB1s cost?
I find it annoying. They've tried to make it sound like PS4 was cheaper but XB1 was much, much cheaper. The cheapest ps4 I saw anywhere was £250, cheapest xb1 was £220 (new).

Amazon top 100 hourly update (PS4 v XB1)

#1   PS4 NDC Physical (0)
#7   XB1 Gears (0)
#16 PS4 SW (0)
#22 XB1 1TB 3 Games (+4)

WiiU is at #3!

If Microsoft doesn't do a counter price drop then December could get ugly.

WHAT THE fudge. Last year they sold about 3.5 million in October and November. Surely this can't be true. Has he given a source?

If this is true then holy fudge November NPD....

Keep in mind we already knew the sell through up to November 22nd and he's talking about October and November. This is also global. Which could very well mean little for NPD and reflect a greater adoption rate in other regions.

But that would mean probably 10m+ in October and November, that would be totally unheard of.

I feel like they just meant Japan sales and he's misinterpreted it... we shall see.

It's not impossible that a price drop, greater game selection, and hype for upcoming games could have caused a huge surge in global adoption for the period. Unlikely, but not impossible.

Maybe they mean the ROTW sales.

Okay, I'd give it a 0.0001 possibility. The Wii at its peak managed 5 million in those 2 months. No way PS4 managed 10m+

Why has this not been reported anywhere else?

Rorono

3x could also just be 2.6 rounded up. 9M is still too much though. I don't see more than 4.5 being possible
Another possibility is two months refers to November and the one we're currently in, instead of October and November. But if that rate kept going until end of the year..it'd be 15M in two months lol.
Something's not right there. Some kind of mistranslation.

I don't know that I believe it. I'm simply guessing as to how that could be possible.

I think 9m+ worldwide is impossible. Heck, 5m+ is very unlikely for October and November.

No point speculating really, we'll just wait and see if there's more updates
