Yeah, Tomb Raider's iced not really much to say there. Game's on its way out of the Amazon top 40 already.

Guys see my post on the others thread about the leaked Destiny TTK numbers.

Way better than what I expected.

I think Sony, Microsoft, and 3rd party publishers have conditioned consumers to wait until November, especially Microsoft. October has become the "calm before the storm" month.

Still doesn't excuse the shaming results, though

Fantastic Fallout 4 performance, even though that is sell in it means sell through will be way higher than I expected. Bravo, some good news after all the doom!

Looks set to beat Battlefront at that rate, 2nd biggest game of the year?

Kerotan

Black ops 3 was huge.  Battlefront will be big.  But my God fallout 4 is a mobster.

I believe Battlefront will be the biggest game seller of this year... yeap over CoD.

The power of the Force is real... the marketing is huge.

It is the first Star Wars game in years with the all the hype about the movie.

Legend

So can we legitly now say Halo is dead?

Same goes for Assassin's Creed.

It isn't dead, its just not one of gaming's big IPs anymore. There are a large number of IPs which are bigger than it, now. I guess the same can be said for AC too, 391k is awful

Dr. Pezus

Woah fallout is huge. Not quite cod huge but really big. 15m sold this year?

Well I'd imagine sold through is way behind, that 12m might last them the year... or maybe it won't.... 15m is possible for shipped but I doubt it.

Halo is not dead, but dying. It's going to take a while until Halo 6 comes out and the game might pull a Syndicate, i.e. it'll have better reception than Halo 5, but too little, too late.

Assassin's Creed is also not dead, but is definitely approaching death faster than Halo.

Pew. Maybe sneaking in at the bottom. It's not really bundled, so maybe it will be heavily added for free to bundles on BF (to get rid of this storage blocker).
And as far as I understood NPD logic those games count as much as sold ones...

You're referring to "soft bundles" by the way.  And yes, software units from soft bundles are included in the reporting.
Based on anecdotal I'm hearing, TR is having a very slow start.  Wouldn't count on it sneaking in.

I have to say this though, after this result I'm even more pissed at MS joke of a PR that they put out for Halo 5, most people are not going to bother finding these leaked Gaf numbers so in the public eye the result for Halo 5 will be number 1 in its launch NPD, X1 leading in hardware and Halo 5 having the "biggest launch for a Halo game ever", so after all this shame MS is actually getting away with straight up bullshitting everybody about Halo 5s performance. I mean just look at this, these are the reddit threads on the halo and X1 subreddit for this topic, none of them actually go into detail on the performance of Halo, it's just "ooh it's first and with only a couple days, how impressive blablabla".

(NPD data) Halo 5 was the best selling game of October on all platforms - even after only being available for 4 days during that month. : halo
Oct NPD: Xbox One best selling console - Halo 5 best selling game : xboxone

I'm more pissed at MS's handling of the ROTR deal. If you are shelling out a lot of money for timed exclusivity, you better dang well exploit that to the fullest. Instead, we're seeing long-term, possibly even permanent damage to the IP.

Not specifically. I know part of the deal with MS was for them to buy so many copies for bundles - which we've seen. The other part I know is the marketing relationship soured a bit after the reveal debacle and is the main reason SE announced the release of the PC/PS4 versions so early.
