It comes out in 2 days.
Oh dear, that title has a bit of a necrophiliac vibe to it :o

I've finally figured out Japan sales gaf.  The Nintendo fanboys had a good run with the vita failing and they continued with ps4 slow start.

Now that ps4 is gaining traction,  they're in the denial phase.  Spouting the whole lowered expectations bs and the ps4 has to sell 40k weekly for it to be good.

It's sales will tail off and the PS5 will be out in 3 years.  It has no chance of getting anywhere near 4m next year either.

God the next 2-3 years are gonna be so fun in that thread.

The PS4 will do really well once big Japanese games come out.

SE finally has some good looking FF games coming out, and they've got KH3 finally looking like it'll come out this gen...

It is ok for any game.
The Halo 5 issue was the low opening... so the second week is low because the 78% drop is based in a already low number for Halo standards.

BTW about Cod "Compared to other Call of Duty titles this is the 7th in terms of week 1 takings, though of course all of those above it benefited from 5 days of sell-through in week 1 (UK charts run Sun-Sat)."

The game had less days (2 vs 5) than previous games but even so it didn't make UK on fire.

Edit - Last gent CoD did 9% of the total and it was enough to 360 version outsell Halo 5 lol

Edit - From GAF lol "IT'S THE BIGGEST SECOND WEEK OF ANY HALO 5 EVER IN UK HISTORY"

Halo 5 did 33k this week...

Quote from: Rorono on Nov 09, 2015, 11:30 AMSo that means last gen blops > 33k
Which means blops total > 370k
Ps4 at > 178k
X1 > 159k
360 CoD > 33k.
360 CoD + PS3 Cod = 9% of total sales

360 CoD + PS3 Cod = 9% of total sales
On nvm I was thinking only 360 and ps3 combined outsold Halo
Then..
Blops 3 total > 670k
Ps4 > 321k
X1 > 288k
That's a lot more like it

ethomaz

CoD
PS4: 48%
Xbox One: 43%

Need For Speed
PS4: 67%
Xbox One: 33%

With over 320k in the UK, blops ps4 at > 4M WW FW seems like almost a certainty

ethomaz

Seems like we have NFS numbers...

BLACK OPS FRIDAY

09/Nov/2015
2015 so far reveals there have never been more games released on a Tuesday (25 and counting, previous record was 2012 with 17 for the whole year), but Activision's 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' forsakes Tuesday for Friday for the first time since 2009 / 6 iterations ago.

So 'Black Ops III' launched Friday 6th November and UK gamers had to divide their disposable income between fireworks, the Treyarch-developed first person shooter and the continued wallet-drain of 'Spectre' at the cinema. However, 'Black Ops III' explodes on to the scene at No1 and in terms of revenue generated in week 1 (regardless of release day) 'Black Ops III' ranks at No14 amongst all titles. Compared to other Call of Duty titles this is the 7th in terms of week 1 takings, though of course all of those above it benefited from 5 days of sell-through in week 1 (UK charts run Sun-Sat).
The Gen 8 (PS4/Xbox One) transition is overwhelming with 91% of sales units coming from these 2 formats (compared to 68% for last year's 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare'). EA's 'FIFA 16' climbs 1 place to No2 (-7%) and EA have the only other new entry at No3 as 'Need For Speed' arrives for PS4/Xbox One. Microsoft's 'Halo 5: Guardians' drops from No1 to No4 (- 78%) and Ubisoft's 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' drops 3 places to No5 (-55%). There are numerous re-entries due to various retailer promotions, most notable of which is Nintendo's 'Mario Kart 7' back in at No14 (+898%).
