Cheers for the advice.  Night before last I stayed up all night just so I could fall asleep before 11 last night.  I've just woken up at 5am so hopefully this can be the start of my new pattern.

I'm joining the gym so hopefully the exercise tires me out enough by the evening.

My big problem is that since the football season ended 1month ago I've too much energy by the end of the day.

I also need to game earlier in the day.  I do it late at night way too often.

I believe in you.
I'll be right behind you, giving you answers.

Okay, maybe not.  But I'll be believing in you from a distance.  A respectable distance.

Thanks Pi! They can ask a really wide range of questions, there's some I'm not so good and and some I can do really well. I hope I get a bit lucky. Doing past papers, I've got between 53 and 75% depending on the questions, so I hope its kind! (You usually need just under 50% to get an interview)

That's terrific!
Yeah, it looks like the aptitude tests asks a bunch of calc, probability, and others.
The physics questions look fun though!

Don't fudge this up. Your future is riding on this. If you fail this test you'll have to suck sausage on street corners just to barely pay the bills. No pressure.

Oh you had a look, yeah they can be quite fun to have a go at its just the time pressure of 2 hours kinda ruins it a bit ;D You can't think about one question for too long.

Yeah... that or I go to a different University which is almost as good and get the same degree ;)

Honestly the best thing about Oxford is the name. A degree there is just as good for getting a job as a degree at others. Once you get an interview for a job its a level playing field and where you studied doesn't matter at all. My second choice is Imperial College London and that has just as good a reputation for Physics.

All things considered, that's a decent life too.

"your family will disown you, your friends will become your enemies and make fun of you for the rest of your life, you will be banned from all corners of the internet, and a very good chance that you will be deported from Britain into Australia.  My goodness, you don't want to hear how good of a chance you have.  Absolutely dreadful, absolutely.  But no pressure.  There's absolutely no pressure, nothing to be worried about.  Just some awful things that will happen and could happen, should you fail.  Just don't worry about it, put it in the back of your mind, and forget I said anything."

Well yeah, I was curious.  It's Oxford after all!  I was curious to see what kind of material would be on it.
We don't really have entrance exams, at least most places don't as far as I know.  We have the ACT/SAT, which are pretty much the standard tests.  And since they are for everyone, the types of questions range from really easy to not so easy.

I'm not sure how common it is, but my university has placement tests, to put you in a math class and English class, ranging from remedial to Calculus.
There's also AP exams, which many universities accept and give credit depending on score.  I skipped out of a semester of math that I never had a class for because of that!

When will you know?  :D
