i think its OK. could have been a lot better. id still play it and buy it if i could. but its hardly a system seller.

kitler53

so i was mia yesterday.

watched the scalbound gameplay
saw the crackdown trailer.
halo wars 2
quantum break

did i miss anything important?

scale bound was really dissapointing to me.  gameplay might be okay but the control of your dragon looks very shallow to me and it is all brought down by that incredibly douchey main charater. this is like bayonetta for me,..  don't give a shame how it plays because the athetic pisses me off.  shame too because i love dragons.

You got it all as far as exclusives go.

Homefront the revolution was finally shown, and had an amazing trailer.

Also more crackdown footage:

thanks.

crackdown also looks pretty disappointing.  this cloud assisted destruction adds nothing to the game.  games have had total destructibility before and crackdown 3 still doesn't make it look realistic,.. looks like jenga pieces.

Yeah the destruction is cool, but it has that "gamey" look to it. Needs more dust particles.

I'm not convinced that couldn't be done with out the cloud. It looks like blocks falling over.

There are many ways to do it without the cloud, but that doesn't mean they are easier/cheaper  ;)

So I checked the list of 360 games that will be backwards compatible on the XBO and I noticed there is not one Japanese game or JRPG. No Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean 4, Lost Odyssey, Nier, The Last Remnant, nor even the FFXIII trilogy.

I'm sure they'll eventually be added, but they still have very little votes compared to western games. It also doesn't make Japanese developers/publishers any more confident on the XBO.

I bet Halo Wars 2 will be free to play, like Fable Legends.

The Downplay and over Hyping of C3 destruction is glorious on other forums.

Even better yet, this is reason 3.

3. Crackdown 3 can use up to 20 times the power of Xbox One

Rofl.

so did you find it impressive or disappointing?

i found it disappointing.  it looked like the standard generational leap over what was accomplished on ps360 hardware.  i saw nothing in that demo to sell me on the idea of cloud assisted computing.

The scale is impressive the way things fall apart isn't. It looks like blocks falling off of each other and every now and again those blocks might break up into smaller blocks.

I went and watched the uncharted 4 e3 demo again just a few mins ago, and the destruction looks a lot better there even if it's limited. From the corrugated plastic getting holes blown out of it and the deflating rice bags and shattering wood it all looks better than what's going on in crack down.

And thats what I feel the defenders don't get. If it looks fake why would anyone be impressed.
