Hmm was this month 4 weeks then? Thought it was 5 for some reason. X1 numbers terrible as expected. PS4 worse than expected, given BenV's comments about MLB and WD. Vita has risen from the grave. Can't believe a BL2 bundle managed to give Vita a bigger boost than MK8 did to WiiU lol

It will be a 5 weeks month...

PS4: 197 / 4 = ~49k per week... so you are predicting a drop in week avg... well maybe to 40k... 40k * 5 = 200k... I can't see PS4 going less than 40k per week and it is a big drop in week avg.

Same for Xbox One... 77 / 4 = 20k per week... you are expecting it to go to over 40k per week to reach 205k and we already know the first week of June will be even worst than May avg... so the first week 15k... 190k for the others 4 weeks... so 48k avg per week?

I don't believe neither will happen but PS4 have more chance to sell 190k then Xbox One 205k.

PS4 is Best-Selling Console For Five Months Straight in US

QuotePlayStation 4 was the best-selling console in North America for the month of May, which marks the fifth consecutive month it's achieved the plaudit. Sony's new console also managed to move more titles than any other platform, in a month that saw sales of both consoles and games shoot up.

QuoteMy opinion? I think PS4 will won easly until October of this year... after that it will have to face some strong competition in November / December and if it manage to win these two months then I think it will beat the 360's record.

:D

Unitl October it will be easy with price cut or not.

Yeah I'm expecting a drop. BenV said it increased due to MLB and WD. It didn't really but at least it didn't drop. This time I expect it to drop.

BenV also said X1 is outselling PS4 in June but it's close. Maybe it will be even closer but I'm expecting close to 200k for X1. That isn't exactly amazing.

BenV only talks about Gamestop that is the 3rd biggest retail in US... Amazon and Walmart matter more for the overall sales... that's why you don't saw the increase from April to May like he said.

That's make me thinks which retail access VGC have in US to be so wrong with the numbers... because from what I know they based in some retail stores in US that ioi have access... I guess it have access to Gamestop but Walmart and Amazon shows a different trend than Gamestop.

Dr. Pezus

VGC has access to a few stores. Not retailers as a whole. That is very much evident when looking at the WiiU estimate for MK week pre-NPD. Freaking 80k and turns out it was closer to 30k. You don't get that discrepancy if you have GS as a whole

Gamestop also pushes Xone a lot more than Sony products so they may not be the best litmus test for how well the new SKU will sell at all

Just spoke to a guy at my nearest Gamestop. He's not the manager but he has worked there for awhile. According to him they're not really selling many more X1's than they did previously. Of course, this is a single store and coming from someone who is not in charge at all.

to me the titanfall bundle seems like the best deal overall still...

PS4 XB1 ratio is about 2.5:1 not good or xbox.

would have thought PS4 to be higher, seems though Watch Dogs and MLB managed to not let sales drop than increase them.

Vita is very surprising for me. i now wonder how Vita would be performing if Sony actually released more big games for it.
The same cause they did?

Yeah I think I'll take BenV's word over his lulz. I expect One to at least double in sales MoM

Not really going to listen to BenV either. His evidence is just as anecdotal and clearly limited if not wrong.

Yeah PS4 sales were supposed to have fallen off a cliff a few months ago.
