Quote from: NotBananaKing on Jul 23, 2015, 11:45 PMim being honest here, 100% serious. if we found intelligent alien life on a planet we could reach, or if alien life found us. the human race would wage war. sooner or later, we would start killing them.

if we found alien life on a planet that isnt intelligent, but more like most animals we have now, just look at how much hunting we would do. basically we would treat them with the same love and care we treat the animals on our own planet. now tell me, how many species are endangered right now due to man kind hunting them for all sorts of stupid reasons?
So true...

And kinda sad as well. We often think about aliens invading us and how cruel that would be...but if we end being the more advanced civilization then we will most likely be the ones invading. Provided it was physically possible.

I love that we have quite a bit of science discussion on the Vizioneck forums ;D gives me a nice break from the usual gaming talk!
Vizioneck STILL not banned at my workplace \O/

Quote from: NotBananaKing on Jul 24, 2015, 12:43 AMi wonder how id feel about finding alien life, of course excited would be one of them, but how else id feel is a complete mystery to me.

personally i believe that the possibility of alien life being out there is of course there. im a muslim and nothing in my religion states that there is or isnt any alien life out there. but on a personal level, i just dont believe we will ever find any or make contact with any.

:OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Didnt know you were Muslim (or maybe I did?)

But ya I agree with you about humans waging war regardless of which civilization is more advanced. I believe it is Human nature to cause conflict.

Americans love suing people.

For example one lady sued McDonalds because her coffee was hot.

Spoiler for Hidden:
She actually had a legit cause. I've never experienced it since I don't drink coffee, but apparently places make coffee scalding hot and don't expect you to drink it for 10 minutes. That way it's still hot when you get to work. Well this lady was parked at a McDonald's right after getting coffee and the cup spilled on her bare legs. Gave her third degree burns and she needed to go to the emergency room. She asked McDonald's to cover her medical bills but they refused, so she sued them.

However for some reason or another this case became a common example of America's sue happy culture.
