What do you think they will announce?

I honestly have no clue. Kepler discovers planets pretty commonly so something about this must be special. But at the same time, what could be special about it? We can't determine atmosphere composition on exoplanets when they're in the habitable zone.

we also have to remember what might be very exciting for a nasa scientist, could be dull as hell to your average Legend :P

Haha for sure this will be dull as heck to the mainstream. Pluto is even boring for most of them sadly.

I thought this would be related to the hip bone discovery on Mars story that was doing the rounds.  Sadly that's likely just a rock that the tabloids blew out of proportion.  Talk about firing from the hip,  more like reporting from the hip.

Anyway hopefully this is something more exciting than usual but note I found the recent Pluto info very exciting.

Wouldn't it be pretty wild if NASA believes they found a planet that is showing signs of intelligent life that is around the same level of technology as our own? Give or take.

Easy there tiger!
Let's settle for a planet with good life possibility, maybe even proof of bacteria.

As if I'm honestly expecting that.
