you're not backing up 20 Tb of data for a dollar a month...


...i was looking into a NAS in part because cloud storage pricing is quite exponential.   it's pretty cheap if you only have a few Gb of data but once you cross the 100 Gb mark the ramp up in pricing is pretty drastic.

just looked up google's pricing.  20 TB is $100 per month.   so even at today's absurd hardware pricing the payback period is 7 months.

i only got about 1 hour into animal well.

either a found a bug in the game design or the game design is incredibly obtuse.   either way i got into a part of the game where that i can't get out of it.

Does that game actually have anything or is it just the marketing?

haven't played it yet so take my word for what it's worth...

...the core of it is a puzzle game.   you have to climb a tower with a set of obsecules and abilities so you are trying to navigate the correct path.   the puzzles are suppose to represent the guys guilt or torment for his terrible choices he's making during the story.    not sure how much influence you get over the story itself but between puzzles you have a love triangle story where the guy can either remain faithful to his hot girlfriend or cheat on her with his hot side piece.

HDDs are getting so ridiculous.

Seagate IronWolf Pro 20TB at $349 a good deal right now?

This was only 8 months ago, and some people were saying you can find a better deal.

This same drive, now costs over double. $720

Ouch. I was maybe in the market.

I guess though, nowadays it really is cheaper to just use the cloud for backups. A dollar a month is going to be way cheaper than an hdd.

Animal Well is the only time I've really loved it. That game made it cool and part of the vibe.

Otherwise I agree. It's just very basic feeling.

the video game i'm most guilty of being influenced by naughtiness is this one.   puzzle game plus naughtiness appeal,.. how could i not love it?!   i think i bought it like 3-4 years ago already and i still haven't played it.   i'm to the point where my kids play video games and i'm not sure i can download the game just because of the icon on the games page...

Oh so his strong feelings towards retro and pixel srt are negative? I was going to recomend animal well.

very negative.  

we played TMNT shredders revenge together and i thought he liked it.  it was when i showed him marvel cosmic invasion that this first came up.  he really went on a rant about how ugly pixel art is.
