Another funny one is when a take ages just so freaking poorly. Army of the Dead, that Zack Snyder film, was filmed pre covid. So a big plot point was about how quarantines and lockdowns and all the basic stuff from covid are evil and bad. Just so weird watching it in 2021, having it come across as if it was a right wing film even though it was the opposite.
It's not so much that it bothers me that it's set at a specific point. I'm more bothered when it feels like the characters are talking to the audience instead of each other.

Like we're in some covid episodes right now. And some of the characters will make a really big deal about the fact that they're wearing a mask.

Ah, yeah. That felt very natural point to bring up that you're wearing a mask.
The next episode apparently involves the George Floyd incident. The episode we just watched ended with a video of it being shared, that also didn't feel natural to me. They make it feel like it was shared from a 10 second video.
