Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jun 24, 2026, 07:37 PMI feel like Zach Snyder is a large chunk of the reason why DC isn't doing very well right now.

It had some huge early successes, but most of the movies didn't do well. (And frankly, some of the successes are probably because Nolan made awesome movies and people wanted more.)

Superman and Peacemaker are great under Gunn. Supergirl is the first disappointment.
I think it's fair to call superman a disappointment. A moderate success, but still a disappointment. But time will tell!

Personally I just can't tell what my thoughts are about Gunn. Not that negative but not that positive either.

i hate the idea on paper but maybe I'd love it in action

Technically DC has pumped out a lot of animated Batman movies. They just are more TV movie, as opposed to big animated releases like Into The Spider verse.

Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, the Supermans, Auquaman were all pretty successful. DC would love to go back to that.

So supergirl seems to suck, shocker.

I know it's a hot and bold take, but I don't think James Gunn has done the best for DC.
