Quote from: BananaKing on Today at 07:55 AMYeah shame it's not Sci-Fi or a new IP. But let's see. I wonder what it is. Saw some comments that people were hoping for an The Order 1886 sequel.... Honestly ... I wouldn't mind at all.
That sure would be unexpected. Doubt the ip is worth reviving though.

I think it'll be something from the 90s, a niche nugget to an otherwise origional world. Like Polygon Man.

I'm still on Episode 7 or 8. Just over 30 hours so far. Played somewhat last weekend but hope to play a shame ton this weekend.  Suppose to be cloudy and rainy here so good excuse to stay in all day.

Credits rolling, ~95 hours.

Great ending, incredible game. I just wish early and mid were also as awesome.

For me, it just kind of reaffirms the complaints I've been making about the industry.

The AAA space is hit with a lot of bloat, and probably a lot of issues that few people are really publicly talking about.

But there are plenty of AA games that have similar or even bigger budgets to Uncharted 2.

It just feels like no one is making a game with this kind of scope. A lot of games are trying to compete with bigger - even if they shouldn't and they don't have the resources, and most indie devs naturally have to make something much smaller.

Quote from: BananaKing on Yesterday at 05:22 AMI don't think it was that they suck at their job. It's that it was one of the best teams in the world at the time. Sure indies can have the same tech, but they don't have the same resources or level of quality that ND had.

It's crazy to think they pulled it off in 2 years though. That and with a fantastic multiplayer
Uncharted 2 was made by 85 people on the Naughty Dog side.

Making a game like Uncharted 2 felt in 2009 would of course be very very hard in every way. Making a game like Uncharted 2 feels in 2025 however really does just require a great smallish team.

Crazy expanding so soon after launch. And really really funny that this was memed into existance. Stupid and childish, but shows that the geofence is trivial for tesla to expand. This shape certainly wasn't their og plan.

Quote from: Legend on Jul 13, 2025, 10:19 PMIt is crazy. Uncharted 2 was so advanced for its time but even nowadays where an indie team can pull off the same tech and production, it's just such a high quality package.

I think 90% of writers and directors just really suck at their jobs  :P

I think you love Uncharted 2!

It was essentially my first ps3 game. So amazing at the time. And I've replayed it a bunch, was my first plat.

I don't know if it'd hit the same today. I think I've changed too much.
