Anyone here watched Yellowstone? Currently watching. It's quality

Also started on the Wire for the first time  :o . Been waiting for an HD release but I guess after over 20 years there isn't one coming lmao so I gave up.

What do you mean there's no HD release?

There's a Blu-ray collection in 1080p.

Wait wtf is there

How did I miss that. Anyway, I'm streaming them now and they might be HD

I got Curb Your Enthusiasm 11 seasons for $20 on iTunes.

It's been on my short list to get the blu-rays.

blu-ray.com

The blu-ray.com review is pretty good, but it talks a lot about how the show was done in different aspect ratios. So there might be some goofiness? But it should be in HD.

Ah I see they shot and intended it for 4:3 but the remaster is wide-screen but they seem to have adjusted well for that.

I'm going to recheck my version and yeah it seems wide-screen. It has quite a lot of grain though and doesn't seem high res but maybe that's just because it's a streaming version and I'm on a big 4k tv

That's probably just the glorious film grain!

On a side note, do people here like film grain? A lot of the blu-ray reviewers and film buffs really dislike it when they get rid of film grain (I think on the basis that they're removing detail in that process)

It's airing on public tv every Sunday, so I'm in season 2 right now.

It's really good but also a bit silly with how dumb people often are.

Aren't many people dumb in RL?  ::)

But that's cool! It's fun to see now famous actors much younger and less known like Idris Elba and Michael B Jordan

I'll probably get The Sopranos and The Wire next summer.
I don't exactly have a huge list of TV series that I'm eager to get.

There's a large list of shows that I would get if it went on a crazy sale or something. But the ones that I am eager to get is only like 5 tv series (The Wire, Sopranos, The Americans, Phineas and Ferb, Star vs the Forces of Evil)

First season of Monk remastered on blu-ray coming today hopefully.

Excited to see the show in hopefully better quality.

Hopefully it's worth it.

Slightly mixed feelings.

Picture quality definitely looks better. Biggest difference though is better colors.

But not a huge upgrade, probably not worth getting for most people who have the DVD series.

I don't think I'd bother for any comedy.

But I'm the guy that still watches SD tv on my 4k tv.
