2 hours is perfect for me right now. I love jumping in, seeing everything the game has to offer, and then leaving.

I check howlongtobeat.com before starting a game nowadays and 5+ hours just seems like too much effort.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Good thing Hapax any% is sub 1 minute.

I tend to avoid games that demand hundreds of hours to complete. I enjoy variety too much to spent a year or more on just one game.

that said,.. 2 hours is too short.  that's less than 1 night of gaming.

that said,.. I'll still get eldin ring.

I don't game that often so a 2 hour game every week is pretty good haha.

Big games can be fun too, but I only play like 1 a year.

same. a big game can take me 6 months or more to play and by the end of it I'm ready to try something different.

I rarely if ever play two games from the same genre in a row.

it's not 2 hours but kena is pretty short and omg do I love it.  my 1 liner is "it is exactly like what Zelda should have become if it wasn't in the hands of a garbage developer".

beautiful looking.  deep and interesting combat.  lots to explore and collect.  bosses and encounters that are varied and incredibly memorable.  oozes with style.  a good story.  voice acting.

there is a rough edge here and there but the last time I enjoyed a game this much was GoW 2018.  it's sooo good.

I've been tending yo avoid long games lately. Unless they are awesome then I want them to be long. By awesome I mean GoW/RDR/TW3 tier of games.

I dont want GoW to finish in 10 hours. I want to spend at least 30~ hours in it. I didnt mind spending over 100 hours in the witcher 3 or RDR and wouldnt mind doing so again.

But now usually when I start a game I check how long it is on how long to beat, if its too long I tend to avoid it.

I get the niceties of being able to play and be done and go onto the next game.

I feel like part of two years ago, there was a while where i felt rushed in a weird way about some of the games I was playing. I really just wanted to complete games, even twenty hour games felt like a lot. They felt too long.

On the other end of it, I've been playing Dark Souls 1 and 2 for the past almost 3 months. And that has felt kind of magical.

that's s basically a sign the game is worth playing.  if you are hoping to get to the end of the game soon you must not really like it.

I drop games I don't like pretty quick most of the time. not always but my backlog is too big to feel like I'm wasting my time.

a really good game is when I feel guilty playing it because it means I'm approaching the end.

I should just learn to reply games more but I rarely do.

Same, mostly because I take forever to finish games. I often take weeks, even months without playing anything

I guess I should clarify that I only love good short games.

I just finished Tacoma and 2 hours was too long.

Some games are fine and fun just without all the fluff and unnecessary "content" added. I played Rise of the Tomb Raider a few weeks ago and I ignored all the side quests and tombs and shame. Played through the main story only. It was fun that way, and would have been better if the upgrades could have been fully upgraded by just playing like that.

I sure as hell didn't wanna go fight wolves or hunt bears repeatedly or climb towers just for "extra XP"

Nah there was other stuff going on in my life.
I was enjoying the games quite a bit, but was stressed out about life and didn't really let myself get immersed.
