QuoteHello, the day is almost here! On February 25th, we will be sending out the first batch of order emails to reservation holders. Customers will have 3 days (72 hours) from receipt of their order email to make their purchase, before their reservation is released to the next person in the queue. The first units will be on their way to customers starting the 28th, and we plan to release new order email batches on a weekly cadence.

In addition, we're sending out press units for full review shortly. Press review embargo on Steam Deck coverage will lift on February 25th, but keep an eye out for some preview coverage and impressions before that. In the meantime we're working to tie up the last few loose ends and polish some rough edges, and are excited to get these out to you at the end of next month!

Nice. I wonder if this will be really big and become a core part of valve. It feels like a console launch almost.

I kinda feel like getting one now.   start building my steam library now that my PlayStation library is a "dead man walking".

Honestly I see the potential. I can see it selling 20~ quite easily. And if the hardware is profitable or even breaks even at release then its worth it. More software sales and revenue. I think its a brilliant idea.

I'm getting excited about it.

Could be a nice way to play Halo games for the first time.   8)

The issue is you will he stuck with PC players. But at least its free multiplayer.

But im thinking this or an xbox SS down the line for Bethesda games. I think a steam deck 2 would be the best option.

Well I don't play multiplayer. ::P
I'll be in it for the story.

I've played CoD, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3 multiplayer.
Multiplayer can be a lot of fun.

But it also comes with a lot of baggage.
- cheaters/hackers
- sometimes pay to win, microtransactions
- paid multiplayer

I'm also very introverted, I don't really like talking/coordinating with people.

Seems like a great piece of hardware and software.

I was really close to buying one a few days ago.

Yet today I feel like steamdeck will be meh. The linus video gave me too many flashbacks to the steam controller and steam link. I use both from time to time, but they feel poorly developed compared to Microsoft/Sony stuff.

not day 1 for me but I'll call this my back-uo plan if MS keeps buying out the industry. I'm not moving to Xbox no matter what.
