likely front loaded.   would have done soo much better as a stand-alone with the number 2 tacked on.

I had like 30 hours of fun, and now I feel like I'm underleveled, and there's not really anywhere for me to go.

Amount of fun I'm having illustrated here:
                        /------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\
                        /                                                                                            \
                       /                                                                                              \
                      /                                                                                                \
---------------------/                                                                                                  \ -----

I haven't been playing in a resilient manner. If I take more than 3 tries to beat a boss, I've just been going elsewhere.

For the most part that's been great. Until I hit a spot where I didn't have anywhere else to go.

I kind of gave up on the game for a month. Came back after Astro Bot, and pretty easily cleared a bunch of things that i was struggling with and at this point I've seen almost the entire map.

Almost time to start the DLC.

Did you have similar feelings with other fromsoft games? I'm surprised you still haven't finished it.

I have about 50 hours into my current playthrough. I just haven't been consistently playing much.

I didn't feel this way with the other Souls games. With all the other games you're basically compelled to go a certain direction. The fact that you're not in this game, kind of ends up taking away what kind of patience I have, in a weird counter intuitive way.
