About?  It doesn't have a date.

The postmortem will be very interesting.

Maybe the holiday 2021 talk is true and the game is getting significant changes. Things would seemingly have to be really bad for him to leave during just a short delay.

343 aren't a particularly good dev team, they mess pretty much everything up. This is looking like their biggest mess yet, maybe if the delay is long it could turn out good at launch.

Yeah and it would've been weird to hear about this earlier this year before a delay was announced lol. Still weird

just like a few weeks/month ago spencer talked about the aquisition of zeniMax in terms of "organic growth" is just not possible.

he's wrong.  sony does it.  ms just doesn't fudgy know how to manage a game studio and all of their internal studios are shame these days expect turn 10 and maybe playground.   obsidian is a gem of an acquisition but we'll see if they can maintain quality or if MS will fudge them up.   i really expect their other lower key aquisitions like double fine and ninja theory to stagnate under MS's management.

QuoteStudio head Duncan recently said that Rare hadn't discussed Everwild publicly much because it was still exploring how the title's core themes would translate into gameplay.

lol.   announced a year ago leaving everyone say, "beautiful but how does it play?".   studio head leaves and says we still haven't figure out what the gameplay is yet.   his could turn out as bad as sea of thieves then..

Hopefully unrelated. Not good timing with both of these and the series x launch.

no reason for why he left.  really it's 50/50 if he left because he got a better or more interesting offer or if he left because the game is in development hell.   it's just bad optics and thus easy to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

i personally hadn't seen the "still figuring out gameplay" thing before though so it just makes me laugh.   there was a bad period for a while there where sony didn't announce anything but quite frankly i'm glad they figured out the whole "don't announce too early" thing.  it hurt for a year or two but the fruits have paid off well in this early gen announcement cycle where everyone is pleasantly surprised that GoW is next year already.   MS still announces waaaaay to early and it will continue to hurt them as they will continue to have to cancel announced projects or delay the crud out of them which enables stories like this to get out of hand.
