Insomniac is already proving to be such a huge acquisition for Sony. They're delivering the next gen hype and are a machine at putting out high quality games quite frequently, as the other studios are taking longer and longer.

Ratchet in Feb maybe?

Also hopefully this means big publishers will be putting important games into this show.

if ready they should get it out for the holiday.   it is a much more kid friendly title than anything else sony has and would be a good thing to have out during the gift buying season.

but yeah, probably a spring release.

It was announced last year.

Probably didn't get quite as much attention because it's VR.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond by Respawn announced for Oculus VR | ResetEra

QuoteRespawn Entertainment just announced Medal of Honor VR for oculus.

www.ea.com   Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond - Official Game Announcement  Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond brings WWII to VR, exclusively for Oculus Rift.   www.ea.com www.ea.com

QuoteMedal of Honor: Above and Beyond brings the historic battlefields of World War II back to the forefront for an epic AAA experience like no other. You'll play as an Allied agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), tasked with infiltrating, outgunning, and outsmarting the Nazi war machine. And as you complete your tour of duty across Europe, you'll collaborate with the French Resistance, working to sabotage Nazi operations from behind enemy lines.

In addition to both a full narrative campaign and multiplayer modes, Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond includes a unique story gallery, letting you sit with WWII veterans and survivors to hear their stories while witnessing first-hand the events and locations that have shaped our history.

"From the beginning, Medal of Honor has taught gamers about the tremendous sacrifice and heroic efforts made by earlier generations to safeguard our freedom," says Peter Hirschmann, writer of the original Medal of Honor who's returned to direct this new addition to the franchise. "Thanks to VR, we can actually put a player in the boots of a WWII soldier with Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond—the immersion that the Rift Platform provides lets us tell that story in a really meaningful way, sharing the full impact of the sacrifices and camaraderie of our shared history. Interviewing veterans of WWII was an immense privilege and allowed us to ensure its respect and faithfulness to those who served. They're helping us drive home the full emotional and historical weight of this subject matter with players in a way that really resonates."

Thanks to this historic authenticity, gameplay mechanics and props are placed within their proper context. As a game, it entertains, but it also strives to make you pause and reflect on the events of the past and how they helped give rise to the world we know today. And the immersive nature of VR makes it all possible, letting players experience the sights and sounds of the battlefield as if you were actually there—all while being reminded of the gravity of the situation and the very real stakes involved for those who truly lived it.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will launch in 2020 for the Rift Platform. We're excited to help Respawn break new ground in VR storytelling and will have more to share in the months ahead.  Click to expand... Click to shrink...
Quote" Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an action-packed and incredibly immersive VR experience set in World War II, where you step into the boots of an agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in war torn Europe. A deep single-player campaign takes you through historic events on land, air, and sea, sabotaging Nazi bases, subverting enemy plans, aiding the French Resistance, and much, much more. With the Oculus Rift, we're bringing players into the Medal of Honor series in an entirely new way, with an experience that transports you back to Europe in the 1940s. It's the closest thing to a time machine you'll ever see.

Medal of Honor has always been about celebrating the everyday people who did extraordinary things in the face of overwhelming odds, and Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond continues that tradition in new and unique ways. Using interviews and 360° footage, we've had the privilege of capturing powerful first-hand stories from combat veterans of the war, using state-of-the-art technology to preserve their stories for future generations.

It's an incredible feeling for us to be back working with this series again, telling unforgettable stories of the men and women who stood up and fought against evil. We can't wait to share more with you over the next few months.

PS - While the details are still classified as top secret, we're excited to let you know that Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond also includes multiplayer."  Click to expand... Click to shrink...

I doubt ratchet would be at release. Imagine a studio having to launch TWO games at onconce. That seems impossible. And even worse its at the system launch. I doubt we would get ratchet before the start of april
