Really bad for launch. I'm astonished MS is doing this. Was completely expecting it to release no matter what.

But really great for Halo. I'm glad they're so dedicated to making Halo the best they can.

no qualifier on "2021" makes me think holiday 2021 is a very good possibility.   MS hasn't ever been good about supporting the non-holiday months.  this of all titles they'll want to be a part of the holiday rush.  and frankly that halo demo makes me think it needs at least another year of work...

i read someone else's post and they brought up a good point.  they reaffirmed halo infinite's release date less than 3 weeks ago to be shipped only about 2 months from now.  seems like they should have known halo wasn't going to be ready for launch 3 weeks ago.  there definitely was some conflict between the business leads and the development teams here.

For XSX's case, I really don't think they can.  
It was pretty much their headline.  


But maybe they'll be fine. They will likely push through this year basically on next gen hype.  And then next year hopefully they'll have some big titles.

I hope this question is clear enough. I was torn on getting one to replace my Xbox One X since I knew Halo Infinite would play best on Xbox Series X but now I'm definitely going to wait. What are your thoughts?  

This is big indeed, 1/3 of series X launch buyers reconsidering is massive especially on Era where most people buy at launch regardless.

hardly that surprising.  MS has done everything in their power to make is so not buying a launch is a thing you don't feel the need to do...

The Medium and Scorn will probably be heavily pushed in marketing as 3rd party next gen exclusives.
