Miles Morales on PS5 load times - from booting the game cold, through the game menus and into the open world takes 15 seconds total.

If you can't watch - PS5 home screen to controllable game menu is about 10 seconds, game loads from menu in about 2 seconds.
As a comparison to this, Spidey PS4 loads to controllable menu in about 48 seconds, game loads from menu in about 30 seconds for a total of 1min 20 seconds to get into the open world.

That's a revolutionary difference.

I'm debating getting Miles Morales on PS4 so I can play it a week early and get in one some of the fun for that week while I'm waiting for PS5.

I guess it won't be here today..

Hey at least you're still getting it super early!

Also anyone need my Amazon PS5 order? I'm going to get rid of it.

Let me talk with my wife!  Is the digital or is there a disc?

It's the big boy with the disc.

Does Amazon tend to do good with launches?

in my experience no.  i've never done hardware but like half of my disc pre-orders were late.  sometimes really, really late.   ....late enough that i just canceled the order and drove to the store to buy the game i wanted because being more than 2 weeks late on a game is ridiculous.

Back during PS4 it arrived on launch day. I'm fine just changing the shipping address to your location and charging $540 to cover tax.

I had that happen with FF15 I think. Received the shipping notification saying it'd arrive on launch day, yet it just stayed at some random location. Eventually contacted customer support and it hadn't actually shipped at all.

yeah, it was hit and miss for me.  the games that shipped on time generally showed up 1-day early.  i wouldn't have cared if it arrived 1 day late but i got really, really angry about pre-orders that didn't even ship until days/weeks after the release date.  not sure what went wrong but i did stop pre-ordering from amazon.

i'm kinda jelly about you day-1 guys but i'm sticking to my guns on this.   i'll buy early 2021 near the launch of ratchet and clank or GoW (which ever comes first).  i'm still holding out some hope for a R&C or GoW special edition but that's probably a fools hope.  demand will be soo high in the launch window i'm sure it's not worth sony's time to make any special editions until 2022.

I'm pretty much only buying a PS5 day one to play my backlog and help with game development. None of the launch exclusives are must haves for me.

Give me yours. Spidey, Demons Souls, Bugsnax are all must haves for me
