I don't think Battlefront will do the same sort of numbers but to me at least it shows that the 13 million target should be achievable.
You'd think it will have better legs than BF3 over the next few weeks due to the movie but I do agree it won't reach BF3 numbers. I was expecting it to jump more than 20% this week tbh

The ps4 version was #1 though
X1 version isn't taking off as much

PS4 version was #1 last week too, Xb1 version fell 4 places. I guess the PS4 advertising gave the PS4 version a good boost but didn't help the xb1 version. Top 3 being PS4 suggests PS4 had a good week comparatively too

MCV has been so quiet about HW since the last milestone (PS4 at 2M over half a year ago)
We did get some BF specific info but that's it

Uncharted 4 though!!!!

....then PS4 will start to catch up again.

The last month in that chart for PS2 is October, the next two months (mainly December) were crazy for it. PS4 won't keep up with that.

November is low for PS2... ~900k.

BTW PS2 had a $100 price cut... PS4 only $50.

Yeah, next two months for PS2 total 2.8m. The next two months for PS4 will definitely be less than 2m.

I didn't realise PS2 did so well after the holidays too, looks like PS4 is going to start slipping away unless Uncharted provides a huge boost. Perhaps it could catch up again with the slim but I don't think it'll be able to overtake PS2 numbers at any point.

Just keep in mind that the PS2 was originally released in October in the U.S. so the end of that graph (Month 25) is October. For the PS4 the huge spike is attributed to November being month 25.

Please see below for a representation of the PS2 holiday sales -

In order for the PS4 to track ahead of the PS2 over the next year it'd need a minimum of 5 million units sold this December.

It's important to note that PS2 had no real competition anywhere. Even the US. That makes it more difficult for PS4, which is actually competing against another console in the US this time. Console sale engagement outside of the US and Japan seems larger than it has been in the past. That may help push WW sales ahead of PS2 since PS4 is largely THE console in most other countries. Also expecting a significant increase in Japanese sales this year thanks to a flood of incoming JRPGs.
