That is my assumption too.

For reference, ODST launched to 1.5 million.

Halo 2, 3, Reach, and 4 all launched at 3.3 million.

Yeah.  1.4m, maybe 300k digital. (assuming about 20%) 1.7m in the US.
Then maybe another 300k worldwide?

Very poor, no matter what.

I'm going to assume 400K digital, where the vast majority of those sales came from the LE bundle. Add in 150K physical sales from the UK and we get 1.95-2.05 million without the ROTW. If we add your 300K ROTW assumption, total sales would be around 2.3 million.

In other news, Halo 5 vanished in the wake of Black Ops 3. Don't get carried away speculating how many BO3 bundles were sold, though.

And boy, is the ROTR deal not working out so well....

NeoGAF - View Single Post -  October 2015 NPD (U.S. Hardware) Predictions - Closes November 10th

That is my prediction 1.5/1.6m for NPD.

Bundle can put it at 1.7m in US.

Halo 5 has one week on NPD.

Halo 3 was two weeks and Halo 4 was four weeks + BF. Even though both those games did 3.3 for the month, the drop for 5 isn't that bad.

Max King of the Wild

That's in line with playtime and what we see from UK. No way world is past 2m at retail if numbers are true.

However, at least from Abdiel's perspective, Black Ops 3 basically knocked the winds out of Halo 5's sails and Battlefront will be even bigger.

Wow if Halo 5 opens with half the sales and has worse legs than previous games, things could really get ugly.

Yeah the extra weeks would only add a few hundred k sales.

Reach did 3.3m too.

Yup, but I don't remember how many weeks Reach had  ::)

Halo 2 was 3.3 as well.

It was launched in Sep 15... I guess 3 weeks (depends when the NPD ended).

But you can be sure over 70% of the sales was Week 1... something like that:

Week 1: 2.5m
Week 2: 0.6m
Week 3: 0.2m

According to Kyoufu, Uncharted 4 might have been originally planned for a 2016 release, which begs the question.... why the fudge did Sony announce it for 2015 in the first place?

Yeah I certainly wouldn't trust that to be correct.

2015 release might have been wishful thinking, but they'd only announce it if that was a target.
