Zelda attach rate much lower in Japan. Not too surprising though.

Good launch for horizon

Not with Wii U's sales it did.  But, did Nintendo undership to Japan for their Switch stuff?

Resident Evil 7's sales in Japan are abysmal though :/

Resident Evil always struck me as more of a Western title, regardless of sales. Could be that the premise of it didn't strike a chord with Japanese gamers.

Quote from: DerNebel on Mar 07, 2017, 04:31 PMIs the PS4 number from Zhuge? Cause he also tweeted that the Wii sold 75k in its first weekend, which is obviously false.

Anyways good launch, is gonna make for an annoying couple weeks on Gaf and some other places with people proclaiming that "the king is back" etc.
What's annoying about that?  Playstation fans have been shouting that from the rooftops for 3 years now.  Nintendo fans deserve their chance to feel good.  Whether it's short lived or not idgaf as long as ps4 sales remain in beast mode.

I'm too lazy to check but RE 5 and ^ sold closer to a million in Japan.  600k each?

edit: ^ = 6*

Great ps4 hardware sales.  Next week it wins the race to 4.5m. The battle for 5m is going to super close.  Roll on the next 20 weeks.

Gta V has incredible Japanese legs.  Nier and Nioh doing good too.

Horizon has a fantastic opening and should also have great legs.

Next week is Kingdom hearts collection and ghost recon.  The week after monster hunter XX. Interesting period for Japanese sales.

Nintendo fans spent all of the 7th gen rubbing their genitals in everyone's face over the Wii and spent 2013 boasting that Wii U was going to go beast mode "any day now". They continued that rhetoric for almost two more years until they quieted down. The failure of the Wii U didn't stop them from boasting about the 3DS and how it sold compared to Vita. No. Nintendo fans like them don't need bragging rights. They can deal with an entire generation of embarrassment if that is what it comes to. To be clear, I also can't stand Playstation fans who do that. I just don't think that 3 years compares to the near non-stop declarations of Nintendo's superiority we've had going on for over 10 years now. I'd rather we not reach 15 with that shame.

I believe the it will win the 5.0 million battle 5 weeks early.

While that's all true here's the thing.

Nintendo fans the last 10 years have been absolutely harmless.

The Wii was basically a kids/family/granny console.  It didn't effect the sales of the HD twins to hardcore gamers. I didn't see the Wii as a threat to my preferred system in my favourite hobby.  The 360 was the threat.

That was the battle I cared for.  I couldn't give a shame if a bunch of Nintendo fans playing kids games bragged about sales.  Happy for them. Their preferred system struck gold with the casuals.  Nintendo lost the hardcore to 360/PS3/pc.  They'll never get them back.  And thus became irrelevant in thr hardcore gaming market.

Honestly I it sounds silly but last gen the Wii didn't even count in the console wars.  Their fans who bragged dug their own grave.

3DS hardware and software sales a shadow of the DS.

Wii U hardware and software a shadow of the Wii.

The Switch will decline on 3DS + Wii U hardware and software. I include both because it's a succesor to both.

Like why would Switch fanboys bother me?  They're harmless and their system will pose zero threat to the success of the ps4 and in a few years the ps5.

I believe it was around that... 500-600k

RE7 at the actual pace will probably reach 400k lifetime.

Great start for switch and Zelda.

Is it me or are those horizon sales not that great? The first country reporting it much lower than Uncharted 4.
