Looks like Sony extended the $249 PS4 deal to December 31. I think both Microsoft and Sony will keep their cheapest SKUs at $249, honestly.

Saying we've been taken over by fanboys though is categorically false. The mod team hasn't changed since you joined and all of them were founding members of the forum.

I'd also like to say that it's kind of a sucker thing to do to almost never post around here and then post out of the blue just to criticize us collectively. There has always been a Sony lean on this forum since it started. Most of us backed Sony at the start of the gen because we didn't like what Microsoft or Nintendo were selling and many of us still don't, just for different reasons than when the gen started. For crud's sake, the game this forum is attached to is being made for PS4. Do we have people who borderline on fanboy or fit the description? Sure. Yet no worse than anywhere else. We also have plenty of people willing and eager to talk objectively about the industry,

I even made about us being Sony leaning just yesterday! What is your favorite current gen system?

The problem is when people have an "us vs them" attitude when it comes to console preferences; and that's incredibly rare between members here.

I made that prior post because a member of your forum decided to pester me to post sales numbers here.

Having read through the thread it's clear to me that a growing number of members on this forum don't actually care about having actual constructive conversations on the video games industry but would much rather have me or someone else post a sales number so they can gloat about their favourite console winning.

I love looking into numbers for a lot of things and I try to stay neutral. Sorry if I have done anything.
Also I think its also due to a lack of people who are active on the forum thats probably why.

Sad to see this forum, which had a smaller number of good members in the past, has now been taken over by fanboys

I did not see this post before but it is sad to read it now because I think most of sales talk here are way ahead anything you can find in others places no matter how you think we can be fanboys or not.

To be honest that is not the first time this happens because anybody that disagree with you say it looks like a fanboy... even on GAF you were not open minded about others people option.

The best I can try is understand you (even if I'm not in agree) if you are a bit more direct saying what bother you.

Great numbers for Uncharted 4 in Germany and insane sales from GTAV in the UK.

Its hard to tell how well Sun/Moon did exactly in Germany but I'd bet its a way over 500k for sure. Truly fantastic sales from the latest pokemon and I'm really happy its worked out so well for nintendo. It should give them more confidence (and money) going into the switch.

If we take U4 500k in Germany it is probably way over 5 million WW right now... perhaps close to 7 million.

It is a fantastic even if you account the game is bundled (in US alone bundles could be near 1 million).

I think I know which people you are talking about. I like to believe that I'm not one of those members you are criticizing. I wanted numbers in order to know the gap. Heck, I predicted that the PS4 would barely win November NPD. Granted, I'll admit that I did take the tinfoil hatness too far when I was talking to DerNebel about Windows Central's numbers. I was just being very blue about verification and apparently, John Harker seemed to have verified them.

Yeah I'd agree with you, 500k in Germany points to way over 5m WW for sure. We know that in the US alone the U4 bundle sold about 800k in November. Without the bundling it wouldn't be anywhere near this popular but it is still very impressive.

While the industry as a whole has had a fairly bad year there's been quite a few success stories.
