I just think it is a overestimate scenario... both console PS4 and Xbox One are way cheaper today than it was in late 2013... they increased the production and the materials got cheaper too.

I believe Sony sells the PS4 at $399 with profit already... maybe the can even go to $350 to break even... Xbox One is a bit expensive but without Kinect it is not that much difference... maybe $20-30 more expensive than PS4... both consoles can be sold today at $399 with profit in my view.

These big deals for Xbox One is of course hurting them... maybe $100 per console or a bit more... I don't know $150... they will need a lot of units sold to break 1 billion loss.

I don't expect Xbox One to sell that much.

The Xbox One is quite larger than the PS4, add in that the price of DDR3 ram hasn't dropped significantly.  I'm sure the loss is 50 dollars after packaging at the very least.  I'm also expecting Microsoft to be shipping enough Xbox Ones to get to 10 million shipped.  That can be anywhere between 4-5 million units depending how under/over tracked it is (according to VGC).  It's what MS is aiming for whether they sell the consoles or not.  Add in all the marketing costs, moneyhats, etc, and that billion dollar figure is easy to come to.  You have to remember, Microsoft burned through over a billion a year on the original Xbox.  It's not hard for them to do the same for the Xbox One.

Estimate is 250+ GTAV bundles in this single Best-Buy ready for BF.

They also had a pallat and a half of destiny ps4 and half a pallet of regular ps4. They only had a pallat of kinect acu bones and half a pallat of kinectless acu bones. No huge stash in the Xbox section like the ps4 bundles. So unless they have yet to put more out on the floor there are about 400+ ps4 and maybe 100 bones... November npd is going to be really interesting. "
