Don't cry for ps4. It's the only console up YOY and it's up x3 on 2014 numbers.  

OT:
year 1 ps4 launches,  
Year 2 it finds its feet
Year 3 sales will be big
Year 4 & 5 sales will be huge

All relative to the console market in Japan.  But it'll live another generation at least thanks to PS4.

MGSV can't come soon enough for the PS4. It really needs way more major releases in order for sales to be consistently high. Next year, it'll be getting Odin Sphere Leifhrasir, Nier 2, Star Ocean 5, Attack on Titan, Dragon Quest II, and possibly FFXV. However, I think it needs at least one major game per month. Waiting for KHIII, Dragon Quest XI, and FFVII:Re isn't good enough, despite how large those games are. Hopefully, some of the less notable games like Yoru No Nai Kuni, Hyperdimension Victory II, and Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force make some sort of splash, too.

I mean we have what for early 2016 just doesn't sound like as big of system sellers as Bloodbourne, Dragon Quest Heroes, Final Fantasy Type 0 HD, Battlefield Hardline, Yazuka 5 for 2015.
I do hope I am wrong and lets say FFXV releases early 2016 or something.
Now onto wii u.....its down yoy and will probably be like that until Mario Maker where it will stay consistently over 10k(hopefully) with IR#FE, Stafox, YW JD, etc.

It's going to be tough to match the PS4's early 2015 performance in Japan. I'm curious to see how much influence western games will have on sales. Uncharted 4 first comes to mind as well as Dark Souls 3. The Witcher III did decently in Japan, so Horizon may have the same effect, perhaps more since it has that Zoids appeal

Well guess your right.
I wasn't expecting wii u to be up yoy with a new shooter ip so I won't think that again.

Exactly.  I'd say they will save the japanese price cut until next year.  Many titles for 2016 will be announced at TGS. Sure it was only this year they announced star Oceon 5 to release less than a year later.  

Ps4 will be up YOY again next year and likely up again the year after too. It's going to do numbers similar to ps3 and it'll definitely be out for 10 years because the rate of technological improvements is slowing and PS5 won't release until 4k gaming can be done in a 400 euro box.

It will probably be on sale for 3 generations of Nintendo home consoles if Nintendo even bother with a home console for the NX and a sequel in 5 years too.
