Quote from: Xevross on Jun 03, 2015, 09:53 PMYes but there was so many games in one week that you don't know which boosted by how much and you don't know the effect of games from previous weeks, which may have provided a lasting boost. There's no doubt Bloodborne moved a lot of systems but its impossible to tell how many. Splatoon clearly boosted WiiU by 10,000. You can't argue that Bloodborne did more than that because of the lack of figures and percentage wise Splatoon was definitely a much bigger boost. I think its done very well.
If you know sales patterns then you can do it easily.

Quote from: Xbro on Jun 03, 2015, 05:30 PMFun fact, PS4 sales actually dropped 1K on Bloodborne week.

Dragon Quest was the system seller.
wait... does that mean bloodborne has a negative effect on system sales? so Bloodborne is a system killer confirmed!

NX is a handheld dudes. it makes no sense making a home console before making a new handheld.

Yeah NX is a handheld people
Zeldas always get delayed ever since ocarina of time so that idea is useless.

Yeah. I'm not sold on the idea that Nintendo's next device is a console. Their handheld market is doing much better even if it is on decline. Nintendo may once again find themselves virtually alone in the dedicated gaming handheld market if Sony decides it's not worth it. I don't think releasing a new console at this point in the generation would be a good move. In fact, it may prove even worse than the Wii U. Sony is dominating globally and North America is incredibly competitive between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One right now. I'm pretty sure any new console coming up would get buried. I'm honestly not expecting a new console from Nintendo until 2017 at the absolute earliest but I'm thinking more like 2018.

2017 sounds right. 5 years after the WiiU got released.

also, nintendo is doing everything to be profitable. licenses for their IP's for board games, toys, and even movies probably. Ambio's as well. ever since the started making handhelds they been a lot more profitable than their consoles and much more successful. it doesnt make sense to ignore their handheld business to release another console that will most likely fail, when they could release a new handheld that will most likely be a bigger success than whatever console they would release.

NX is a handheld, all logical evidence point towards it being so.

We really need to stop agreeing. This is getting ridiculous.

Max King of the Wild

It makes no sense to have a dead console for 5 years and run the risk of being irrelevant when you feel like trying again. The handheld is doing adequate enough that they can extend that life

Cute Pikachu

Nintendo needs to make as much profit as they can.

So what makes moresense? Killing off something profitable or killing off something not profitable

Wii U is doing worse than 3DS.

Wii U will get replaced sooner.

That's pretty much how things work.

Yup. Plus, 3DS just got a new model...

Cute Pikachu

We don't know how the NX as a homeconsole will do as it will depend on what Nintendo makes it to be. I did read somewhere that Nintendo is going to focus their next console on the west so who knows.
